There was plenty to choose from at the garage sale held by the Londesboro United Church on Saturday to raise money for the church's furnace fund. Bill Kolkman (foreground) doesn't seem to know just where to turn next. The event also featured a bake sale and a silent auction. Londesboro Pancake breakfast, Judge R.G.E. Hunter fined a R.R.l, Belgrave man $200 in Ontario Court, Criminal Division after taking a chance he could straighten out his life. Bradley J. Peel showed up in court with a cheque for $1700 for restitution for damage he had caused by driving into overhead doors at P. and K. Autobody in Bluevale on Nov. 23, 1990. He had pleaded guilty when he appeared before Judge R.G.E. Hunter in Jan uary. The court was told that at 1:15 a.m. on Nov. 23 a 1980 Olds Cutlass had driven into the over head door of the garage and the driver and a passenger in the car got out and started pounding the door with their fists. Most of the lower panels in the door were bro ken. Mr. Peel told Judge Hunter he had been unemployed at the time and had an alcohol problem. Since then, he had said in January, he had gotten a job and was off alcohol. Judge Hunter had said he was going to see how big a change he had made in his life and adjourned the case until May to give him a chance to make restitution. When the restitution was made, the judge ordered only a $200 fine.
