Blyth business changes hands New owners Ravinder Kainth and his wife Manjeet are the new faces behind the counter of what is presently known as Blyth 4 Sunoco. In addition to changing the name of the business to “Nibbles” the couple is also planning a few changes to menu and design over the course of time. The Kainths and their two children have moved to Blyth from Toronto There are new faces behind the counter at Blyth 4 Sunoco and in the next few weeks the name will change as well. Ravinder and Manjeet Kainth of Toronto, have taken over the operation and management of the popular restaurant and gas bar located on Queen St. in Blyth and plan to change the name to “Nibbles”. While the couple does n’t have anything major planned for the occasion, there will be something special offered to cus tomers when the new name be comes official, they said. Other changes for the business are anticipated as well, but these will be initiated gradually and in some cases from time to time when a need is seen. Daily specials will be items not included on the menu and the couple plans to eventually introduce some new dishes. The hours will be changed to accom modate response. The Kainths have already begun opening for business at 5 a.m. instead of 6. They will, they said stay open as long as demand and circumstances warrant. While the restaurant business is rather new to Ravinder, his wife brings years of experience to the job. When she immigrated here from India in 1981 she worked for five years in a restaurant in Vancouver. In 1986, she and Ravinder came to Toronto and she worked for a time in a photo lab before getting back into food services at the airport snack bar A very warm, and personable couple, the Kainths are enjoying the new surroundings. Ravinder says it reminds him very much of his homeland as people are more caring and more friendly. “People have given us a good response, not just necessarily in business, but personally as well. That is some thing you don’t see in Toronto.” Crime of the Week Thieves entered the McDonald Buildall in Brussels and stole an undisclosed amount of cash after searching the desks and prying open the cash register. The thief then left and went to a vehicle used to leave the scene. A residence was broken into at Lot 6, Cone. 10, Morris Twp., and thieves stole an Akai CS-M3 stereo cassette deck and an Akai AT-K11/L AMfm stereo tuner. When taking the property a stereo turntable was damaged and a door frame was broken. If you have information about these or any other crimes call Crime Stoppers of Huron County, 1-800-265-1777 or 524-6851 and you could receive a reward of up to $1,000.00. Remember crime doesn’t pay Crime Stoppers does. Manjeet agrees, saying it is a good place to raise their two small children. “When I first thought of coming to a small place, I wasn’t sure, because 1 was not used to that. But 1 like it here. The people are really nice, not like in Toronto where no one bothers with you. Everyone here is friendly. It’s a peaceful place.” LADIES' DRESSES 20% OFF 20% OFF 20% OFF 20% OFF 20% OFF LADIES' SPRING COATS & JACKETS MEN'S SUITS MEN'S DRESS SHIRTS BOYS' & GIRLS' SPRING CLOTHING WEBSTER'S CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR B BLYTH 523-9709 ■ Business and_______ Professional Directory •AIR CONDITIONING •PLUMBING’HEATING & ELECTRICAL Industrial Commercial Residential & Farm B & G ELECTRIC BRUSSELS 887-6747 D&J CONSTRUCTION r •General Carpentry •Roofing •New Buildings X & Renovations DOUG MAC HAN 887-9345 JIM MCDONALD 887-9607 d.MARSHALL’S DECORATING PAINT*PAPER*DRYWALL AIRLESS SPRAYING SWIRL&TEXTURE CEILINGS Phone:523-9220 R.R. # 3 Blyth Youngblut's Plumbing & Heating Blyth Darryl 523-9383 INSTANT FAX AS F.A.S.T.
