Grade 1/2 - Dear relatives and friends, we are having fun in school ... Mrs. Pletch’s grade 1/2 are writing letters to their relatives and friends about school work, and other activities. Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, March 10 were Harry Snell and Ed Salverda. Ushers were Bill Bromley, Gordon Shobbrook, Dennis Penfound and Richard Archambault. The second scripture lesson was read by Greg McClinchey. Kerri and Jennifer Szusz sang a duet “Give to Us Laughter”. They were accompanied on the piano by their mother Marsha. The sermon topic was “The Enemies of Jesus: The Zealots”. Bible Study and Prayer Group is cancelled this week. It will meet March 19 at the home of Joan Howatt at 1:30 p.m. Junior Youth Group didn’t meet this Thursday night. Instead they and all others are invited to attend a crokinole party to be held Thursday, March 14 in the Sunday School rooms from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. Guest speaker next Sunday is Lena Siegers who will speak on some of her thoughts. The Confir­ mation class will not meet this week. The Official Board will meet Monday, March 25 at 8 p.m. Choir practice will be held March 14 at 7:45 p.m. and at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 17, 24 and 31. 9 tables at euchre party The Women’s Institute euchre was held at the Hall on Friday evening, March 8. There were nine tables of euchre. Lucky winners were: ladies’ high, Marie Krauter; ladies’ lone hands, Kay Konarski; ladies’ low, June Fothergill; men’s high, Roy Krauter; men’s lone hands, Shuffleboard Shuffleboard was held at Hullett Central School on Wednesday evening, March 6. There were 15 present. High man was Milton Dale; high lady, Betty Dale. Les Reid; men’s low, Lome Hunk- ing. The last euchre for the season will be held at the Hall at 8 p.m. on students of Hullett Central went skating at the Clinton arena. After the students went skating they went home to start their holidays. REPORT CARDS by Mike Luna On Thursday, March 7 the students got their report cards. GRADE4 by Christine Lapp On February 28, grade 4 went on a trip to Wawanosh Nature Centre. They played Inuit games. At Wawanosh they split into two groups. One went with Jayne and Mr. Griffin and the other one with Ester, Mrs. Laurie and Jim Thomp­ son. Then they went outside and began their games. BIRTHDAY CLOWN Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Congratulations Mr. Jewitt. I think Mr. Jewitt was surprised when a clown came into the school in a mug and sang Happy Birthday with the help of some teachers. Happy Birthday!
