PITCH-IN
AND
RECYCLE!
Councillor Bert Elliott made a
presentation to Council regarding
his understanding of the status of
the lot numbering system for the
Wingham and Area Fire Board.
Mr. Elliott said he did not realize in
December that a motion had been
passed by the board to number
each residence and place a sign on
the property by August 31, with the
municipality paying the costs. He
then submitted a letter of resig
nation from the board.
After some discussion, however,
Council voted not to accept the
resignation of Mr. Elliott from the
Wingham and Area Fire Board.
A copy of the board’s budget was
presented to council but no deci
sion of acceptance was reached as
the budget is only proposed and
must be reviewed further. Morris’
share would be $13,378.43.
Council zVoiced no objections to
the location of Rolf Huber, Lot

no objections to a wayside permit
