Happy Gang meets
The February meeting of Happy
Gang Seniors was held at the hall
on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 12 noon.
Twenty members sat down to a
pot luck dinner. President Clara
Riley opened the meeting with “O
Canada" with Ruth Vincent at the
piano.

Shuffleboard was held at the
school on Wednesday evening,
Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. Nine people were
present. Men’s high was Lome
Hunking; ladies’ high, Geraldine
Dale.

A letter from Huronview was
read about the birthday party on
March 20.
Lome Hunking gave a reading on
“What happens when you see a
snake". A thank you card was read
from Mary Longman.
James Coultes of Wingham
spoke about the Senior games
which will be held in Mitchell on
June 24 and 25. Roll call was
answered by 22 members.
There were four tables of euchre. ’
Ladies’ high was Alice Buchanan;
ladies’ lone hands, Beth Knox;
ladies’ low, Laura Lyon; men’s
high, Ted Fothergill; men’s lone
hands, Edythe Beacom, (playing as
a man); men’s low, Renee Snell
(playing as a man).

The sympathy of the community
is extended to Mrs. Mary Clark of
Senior Citizens Home in Brussels
on the passing of her husband
Howard at Callander Nursing
Home in Brussels this past week.
Energy efficiency increases
Electricity consumers in Ontario
are showing increasing interest in
energy efficiency.
A number of Ontario Hydro
promotions, such as the recent
rebates for compact fluorescent
bulbs, attracted over 130,000 sales
- well beyond the 20,000 initially
planned.
Requests for incentive dollars
are also continuing to flow from
customers in Hydro’s commercial
class, which includes under a
March 7 from 7 - 9 p.m. at
Huronview.
Next Sunday will be the Sacra
ment of Baptism. A skating party
will be held at Clinton arena at 1
p.m. on Sunday, March
