Winners were as follows: ladies’ high, Alice Buchanan; ladies’ lone Hospital Aux. news The February 4 meeting of the Auxiliary to the Clinton Public Hospital (C.P.H.) was opened with roll call. Everyone introduced themselves and told where they were from. With the membership of the Auxiliary growing this is the one way of trying to get everyone to know each other better. Leona Towton read the minutes of the January meeting in the absence of Esther Wright who is at home now recuperating with a broken ankle. We wish her a speedy recovery. Cathetine McKnight, the repre­ sentative *o the hospital board gave a brief report and brought to our attention that in the near future all volunteers working in the hospital would be required to wear name tags. It was decided to make the second and final donation fulfilling their pledge of $15,000 over a two year period to the X-ray equip­ ment. The Auxiliary is proud and happy to have been able to fulfill this pledge in less than the two years. Carolyn Wood reported on the upcoming “Card Cavalcade” - Parties are planned for Holmesville on Thursday, February 14 at 1:30 p.m. It is a dessert Euchre and will be held in the Goderich Township Hall. Summerhill is holding a Euchre party on Friday, February 15 at 8 p.m. in the Summerhill Hall. Londesboro will be holding a Euchre party on Tuesday, February 19 at 8 p.m. in the Londesboro Hall. Clinton will be having on Wednesday. February 20 Bridge at 1:30 p.m. and Euchre at 7:30 p.m. in the Ontario Street Church Hall. Carolyn stressed that both men and women are welcome to any of these parties and that if someone wishes to come and have coffee and goodies and just have a visit together in the Church parlour they are welcome. In Bayfield there will be Euchre on Monday, February 18 at 1 p.m. and Bridge on Thursday. February 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bayfield Community Centre. Varna v. ill announce their party at a later date.
