Arnold Wilkie, well
known Kincardine barber
for more than 50 years
was held last Thursday
afternoon, December 13,
at the MacKenzie
McCreath Funeral Home
in RipleyIt was followed
by temporary winter
entombment in Kin-
cardine Cemetery
Chapel. Arnold passed
away on Tuesday, Dec. 11
in St. Joseph's Hospital in
London. At this time of
bereavement sympathy
is extended to all the
family members - his
wife the former Islay
Blanche Stewart, his son
Ronald, daughter-s—Ellen
and Walterene, and a
sister. Arnold was in his
67th year and started
barbering at the age of 14.
By the time this writer
arrived at Kincardine
High School -in 1928 he
was already established
in his trade.
•Mrs. Dave Fleming of
Bervie passed away last
Thursday December 13 in
Kincardine and District
Hospital. The funeral
service was • held on
Sunday afternoon at the
MacKenzie McCreath
Funeral Home in Ripley
with Rev. Robert Clyde of
Bervie charge.

Chapel. She is survived
• by her husband Dave, one
sister Mrs.• Ethel Ait-
chison of Wingham, .two
brothers George Dreh-
mann of Wingham and

California, to whom

the area and has done

Frank is survived by
his wife the former Annie
Grant of Ashfield, one

heart treatment. He was
just home one day from
the hospital when he took
the fatal attack. Native of
Germany, near
Heidelberg, he and Frank
Zipfel came to Ripley in
the fifties and as partners
purchased the Shell
Garage which • they
operated together for
some years.
He is survived by his
wife Karla, a daughter
Linda and one son Frank,
as well as his parents and
family members in the
Heidelberg area. His,
mother and his sister flew
into Toronto airpo'
Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Zipfel of Ripley left early
Sunday afternoon In the
snow storm to attend the
wake on Sunday evening.
Sympathy of the Ripley
area friends is extended
to Karla, 'Linda and
Frank, and to his parents
and family members in
Germany at this time of
sudde:n and sad
bereavement.
