Moffat, Michael and Christopher of Goderich, visited with their grandparents, Mr. and -Mrs. Wm. Reid on • Sunday. They presented them with their Christmas gift, a large box of assorted groceries. Bill and" Debbie were overjoyed to see all their family at once. Visiting with. Ken and Joy Houston, Amy and Angela on the weekend was Rose Mary Peer of Hamilton. • Ruth and Burnell Esta - brooks of Toronto were home on the weekend to visit with Ruth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Graham. South Kinloss Sunday School had a very enjoyable concert on Sunday. Before the concert a. delicious pot luck dinner was enjoyed. The concert put everyone in the Christmas mood... with the littre children and senior classes putting on their skits and the singing of Christmas carols. Many from this area enjoy- ed the Brownie family dance which was held at Holyrood, hall on Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clark and. boys,. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard -Clark and girls, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gibson and family, Alice. Clark and Jack Button held their Clark Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Foxton at Brussels on Saturday. Last week we made a mistake and said Heather and Helen Maclntyre were in the C.G.LT., but it was Wendy Forster and Peggy Gibson. Sorry about this. The C.G.I.T. went carolling on Monday night. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and safe driving for those who travel. Choir in Carolfest BY DELORES Van OSCH On Wednesday evening, St. Joseph's Church choir participated inthe annual Carolfest at the United Church in Lucknow. Choir. director was'. Bill Van Osch and organist was Denise Dal- ton. Gene Frayne was the soloist in the carol, "Jerusa- lem". Last Thursday evening a meeting was : held : in the Parish Hall\with Father' Den- tinger and interested parish- oners to discuss . the -75th. anniversary of: St. Joseph's church, which is to be held the last weekend in July. Various committees were -set up.. Last Thursday was a Pro- fessional Activity day at St. Joseph's School. Theteach- ers remained at the school all day, which gave the parents a chance for parent -teacher interviews held in -the after- noon andearly evening. SENIORS .COMMITTEE The sixth meeting of the Area Seniors Committee was held recently in the Parish. Hall with Mrs. Bernadine Kinney presiding. Mr. Rob- ert obert Hewatt, representing the New Horizons Organization was again preserif,' The New. Horizons is a program set up in 1972 by the Department of Health and Welfare. The program is to encourage Senior Citizens to become more involved in their com- munity and to share their interests and skills in pro- grams of their choice, there- by benefiting themselves and their community, with em- phasis on local area needs. Miss Helen McCarthy, Goderich, the secretary, read the minutes and they were approved. A discussion by Mr. Hew- itt -fon naming the new Group - Kingsbridge Area Seniors was decided on. Theresa Courtney, alter- nate treasurer for Mrs. Mary Frayne, gave the proposed budget for this area's activ- ities.' A discussion followed and the budget was accepted by Mr. I ewatt to be pres- ented at the December meet- ing of the New Horizons. Rev. Fr. Ed. Dentinger, the Pastor, offered the.accommo- dation of the Hall and 'the proposed program was dis- cussed. The meeting dosed and lunch was served. 0 of this Holy Season. Sincere gratitede.
