I'm, here to tell you how I let them use my stable. It was a beautiful night. The stars were shining very brightly. I was just about to lock the door, when he came and asked me desperately to give him a room. I looked at the .woman on the donkey and was .curious why this man wanted a room so badly. His wife looked like a sack of flour that was stuffed too full. I found out why, I heard the man explain • and this is what he said, "Please give us a room, even if it is small. Scoring for Lucknow were Brian Blair from Stevenson and Burrows; Andy Sheddon from Grant Clark; Carl Stan - Icy from Burrows and Blair; Brian Blair scored his second goal from Montgomery and finally Peter Chisholm scored, on a blistering shot to make the score at the end of two periods, Lucknow 5, Wing - ham 2. The third period was slow as Lucknow "ieemed, content to sit on their three goal lead. A goal by Lucknow's John MacKenzie increased Luck- now's lead to four goals. Wingham chipped away at Lucknow's lead and came up with two goals . to make the final score, Lucknow 6, Wingham 4. Godetich came to Lucknow on December 16 and played a strong game but not strong enough as the Lancers hand- ed the Sailors a 6 to 5 loss. One line of the Lancers did all the scoring Lucknow needed as they free -wheeled all over the sailors. Scoring for the Lancers were Carl Stanley with two goals... Dennis Burrows also had two goals and finally Brian, the third member of the line, had two goals. This line picked up 13 scoring points out of the 15 the Lancers had.
