Mary MacLennan Court-
ney died in Kincardine Gen-
eral . Hospital on Tuesday,
November 27, 1979. She was
the daughter ,ofthe tate
Murdock MacLennan and the
late Christena Matheson of
Huron Township... ..She was
born on concession four of
Huron Township on May 18,
1900..
When Mary was two, her
mother died and she came to
Pine River to .live with her
aunt and uncle, Maggie and
Jim Creech. '
On October 22, 1925, she
married Harold Courtney of
Huron Township, who sur=
vives along with one. son,
Elmer, his wife, Joyce and
six grandchildren, Lynn
Courtney: and his wife, Fre-
da; Gail. and her husband,
Brian Johnson; Elliott Court -

Miltenburg of R. 3 Lucknow,
died on Tuesday, December
4, . 1979 in St.. Joseph's'
Hospital; London. ' ' He is
survived by, his parents,, a
sister,. Laura, his grandpar-
ents, Mr; and Mrs. ' John
Milienburg, R. 7. Lucknow
and ,Mr., .and Mrs.. Magnus

She was predeceased by
two brothers, Donald in 1972
and Neil in 1974.
Mary was a faithful mem-
ber of Bethel Church, where
she was organist for many
years. She was a life member
of the Bethel United Church
Women: She was keenly
interested •. in ; her church,
home, grandchildren and
community activities.
The funeral service was
held on Thdirsday, .November
29, ,1979 at the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Home
in Ripley. Rev. Bob Putman
officiated, assisted by
Mary's, nephew, Father Don-
• ald MacLenna of Troy, Mich-
igan. Her neighbour, John
Kelly, accompanied by Mrs,
Lynn . Lowry, sang `Beyond
the Sunset".
Flower bearers were Ches-

David Chester Houston of
Wroxeter died in Wingham
and District, Hospital on Fri-
day, November •:16, 1979 at
the age of 58.
A retired farmer, he farm-
ed in. East Wawanosh Town-
ship until he retired to
Wroxeter in 1972.
Born on March 7, 1921, he
was .a son of the former
Marie Eckenswiller and the
late David Houston of Kin-

The funeral was' held from
the MacKenzie and Mc-
Creath Funeral Home in
Lucknow at, 2 p,m, on Mon-
day, November 19, 1979.
Pallbearers were Dave
Robb, Lucknow, Cliff Willie,
Teeswater, Ronnie Weber,
Clifford, Aylmer. James,
Wingham, Wayne Doerr and
Ronnie.,Doerr, both of Wing -
ham.. ,
Burial followed in South.
Kinloss Cemetery.
Memorial donations were
made to the Ontario Heart
Foundation and the Canad-
ian Cancer Society asexpres-
sions of sympathy. '
