of last week, Dec, 3, the
leaders and girls of the
Ripley Brownies and'
Guides held a tea party in
the Ripley Huron Legion
Hall. It was open to the
public and there was a
good attendance.. The
girls served tea, coffee,'
and cookies made by
themselves as part -of
their training program.
They also sang carol
requests. The leaders
supervised and assisted
the girls. Everyone had a
pleasant afternoon.

report of the selling at the
Ontario Livestock Yards
in Toronto it was men-
tioned that drover Allan
Coiling of Ripley had
shipped a top priced cow
for Wally Pollock.

upstairs apartments. As

the balcony railing strung

shown on. Wingham as

channels. This is the type
of Canadian show we like
to see. It was interesting,
informative, and at times
entertaining and 'ex-
citing. .

and hear Tom Hayes of
Oakville one of the

Wherever Tom Hayes

with a big white western
hat and seats himself on a
bale of straw.
Jim says that he .is Tom
Hayes and he is sure to
have • some interesting
tales to tell, And sure
enough a 'half dozen
cattlemen gather, around..
Well Tom proceedsto'tell
them ' how he has . just
flown into Toronto airport
from New ;York and it
really had not cost hima
penny for the ride: The
Canadian dollar was up in
exchange and when he
had settled his business
deal in the States he had
worked it so that the
exchange rate in New
York paid for his ticket.
Cigar in his mouth and
all, he looked an,d
