One of Luclmow's elder citizens dies

Interval, Inverness
County, Nova Scotia on
July 27, 1881 to Donald
and Jessie (MacKenzie)
MacGregor.
She trained as a

the home of her parents, Bill
and Dora Van Dyke, Henry,
Peter and Tony, over the
weekend. Nora is a second
year student at Fanshawe
College, London, where she
is studying Hotel and Rest-
aurant Management.

1921. They farmed in St.
Helens for many years
before retiring to
Lucknow.
The late Mrs. Stuart
was a member of the
United Church in
Lucknow and a life
member of the United
Church Women (U.C.W.)
She was predeceased
by her husband in 1966;
one sister, Catherine
MacGregor; and four
brothers, -Jennetly and
Alex of Alberta, and

Ashfield WMS meet

for the November 'meeting.
Mrs. Jack MacKenzie read
the scriptures and gave the
offertory prayer.

The pot luck Christmas
meeting is being held at the
home of -Mrs. Ewan MacLean
on Thursday, December 13.

membership certificate is to
be in at the. December
meeting.
Mrs. Nugent was in
charge of the conclusion of
the study book. The ladies
were put into two groups and
a mission game played. At
the end of tirne alloted, the
sentence "Mission is" - was
to be finished in a sentence
by the group. •
• Mrs. Jack MacKenzie had
the closing prayer. Grace
was sung and lunch was
served by the committee in
"charge.

ember 18, 1979 in her 83rd
year, daughter of the late
Mr.• and Mrs. James Irving
of Lucknow. Survived by her
niece Edythe Whyte of Mid-
land, Ontario.
