Remembrance Day_ service held at Madill Secondary
Here at F. E. Madill we
remembered those who gave
their lives in battle, on Nov-
ember 9th. The Master" of
Ceremonies was Mr. R. P.
Ritter, our principal.
The service began with a
hymn, entitled "Lest . We
Forget", sung by the school
choir. This was followed by
the Advancing of the Col-
ours. The Colour Party con-
sisted of Sergeant -at -Arms,
Dave Crothers; Flag bearers,
Mr. Daves Hynes and Mr.
Bert Morin; and the piper,
Mr. Mac Armstrong. The
. choir then sang, ' `Cantide of
Praise". The Lord's Prayer
was recited in unison. Mr. K.
E. Wood read a piece from
the scriptures.
The Remembrance Day
message was given by An-
thony V. Sonderup, Rector of
the Sacred Heart Parishes in.
Wingham, St. Ambrose and
Brussels. He mentioned that
if we start with ourselves,
and treat each other with
respect, justice and freedom
will spread to the world. We
should rededicate ourselves-

Exams are over and the
question of the day is "What
was our hardest exam?" The
following are the results of a
small survey, combining
both four-year and ,.five-year
courses.
Of the grade nine's inter-
viewed, 35 per cent thought
Science 151 'to be ` their
hardest exam. A further 17
per cent felt Business Prac-
tice to be their hardest.
In grade ten, Science 241
and History 241 led the vote,
followed by Math 241 and
Geography 251.
The two most difficult
exams of *he grade 11's
interviewed were Physics 351
and Man in Society 301.
The grade twelve results
clearly showed Math 451 out
in the lead of the difficult
exams. Geography 451 and
Chemistry 441 follow.
Grade thirteen Family
Studies was also recorded as
difficult.
And of course there are
those who have little difficul-
ty with exams and those who
think all of the . exams are
impossible to write.
In conclusion, 32 per cent
of all the people interviewed
felt the various science cour-
ses exams difficult. This was
followed by different math
exams.
