Kingsbridge couple married 30 years

Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. John Austin who,
on Saturday evening were
honoured by their family on
the occasion of their 30th
wedding anniversary. A
Mass of Thanksgiving was
offered by Fr. Dentinger in
St. Joseph's Church. Friends
and neighbours were enter-
tained in Dungannon Agri-
cultural Hall with Boyd's
orchestra providing the mus-
ic. Their sons Ralph and
Eugene from Calgary were
present for the occasion and
will remain home for a week
before returning to Alberta.
Br. Carl Voll attended a
three-day "Brother's Confer-
ence" in Ancaster, conduct-
ed by Rev. Delby, C.R. Rev.
Ed Dentinger attended a
C.R. "Superior Meeting" at
St. Thomas Scholasticate,
London, last week.
Mrs. Eugene Frayne is a
patient in Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital where
she underwent surgery last
Tuesday. She is wished a
speedy recovery.
Mrs. Jack Kinney attend-
ed the 45th wedding anniver-
sary of her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Dungannon

a grandmother

spent the American Thank -
giving holiday with her fam-
ily in Detroit.

ing sermon on Sunday morn-
ing entitled "What if Jesus

The first advent candle was
lit by Jacqui Dawson.
At the Nile service on
Sunday afternoon it was
decided to hold a Christmas
service on the evening • of
December -23 and to invite
the Dungannon co ega-
tion.

Snowballing has been ban-
edaltogether on the school
ground since one child re-
ceived injury to the eye from
a snowball. Fortunately the
injury was not serious but it
could have been and it was
considered safer to refrain
from snowballing.
Spends
weekend

St. Helens

Marietta MacAuley of Rip-
ley recently spent a weekend
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Todd.

St. Helens Snowmobile
Club has resumed again this
• year. A •new executive was
elected at the, Friday night
meeting: President for this
year is Terry. Hodge with
Lloyd Hodge as vice presid-
ent. Ross Errington is secret-
ary for the year.
'The pot luck supper at the
hall was very successful.
Approximately 50 people at-
tended for a delicious sup-
per. Following the dinner
Mr. Charles McQiiillin show-
ed slides of. Scotland with
appropriate • music accom-
panying the slides. Proceeds
from, the supper are for the
St. Helens light fund.

taping of the "Grand Old

spent a few days visiting with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Van Rooy and family,

parish Saturday, November
24th. Mr. Dean was formerly
of Goderich.
