Mr. and Mrs, Fred Davis
and -Dana of La Salle spent
theweekend with her moth-
er, Mrs. Agnes Farrier.
George Kennedy has sold
his farm° to Leo Silent of
Tiverton who .takes posses-
sion December 1st. Mr. and
Mrs. Kennedy have bought a
home in Goderich.
Whitechurch. Women's 'In-
stitute had a booth at ..the
Kennedy sale on Saturday
with Mrs. Bill Rintoul, Mrs.
Agnes Farrier, Mrs. John -
Gaunt, Mrs. Fred Tiffin,
Mrs. Dave Gibb, Mrs, Lorne
Durnin, and Mrs. Don Ross
in attendance.
On Saturday evening, the
present and former neigh-
bours of Mr. and Mrs.
Orland Irwin and family com-
pletely surprised them by
arriving around 9 o'clock to
visit them in their new home
to which they moved a week
ago. They enjoyed visiting.
with the crowd and at lunch
time Myrtle and Orlandwere'
presented with, two table
lamps and a blanket, Myrtle
and Orland both expressed
their thanks to their friends
for their lovely gifts.

where she spent the remain-

Mrs. Irwin McClenaghan,
Mrs.. Carl McClenaghan
visited, with Mr. and 'Mrs:,
Des Roches and family in
London from Thursday' to
Sunday, when Mrs,'`, Ben
McClenaghan joined her.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw..
and Michelle of London
spent the weekend' with his
parents, Mr, and Mrs, Elroy..'

Chalmers Children of the
Church held their November
•meeting in the Sunday
School room during church
service, The Gall to warship
was given by Joanne de
•Boer. The scripture was read
by Lianne, Young. Brian Ross
led, in prayer, The' minutes
were read by Karen Elliott.
Seven members answered
the roll call by naming a
disciple. The offering was
received by Karen Elliott and
a prayer by Karen Pickard.

day afternoon.
Alex Irvin reported that
Ruby was booked to play
April 19th at the. Community
Centre.
The election of officers was

leading in recreation. ,
Missionary Society held • their
November meeting on Wed-
nesday, November 21 at the
hgme of Mrs, Bill Purdon.
Mrs. Purdon opened the
meeting witha poem and
prayer.•Mrs. Bill Evans read
the scripture and Mrs. Alan
Falconer gave- the mecliita-
tion.
Mrs. Victor Emerson read
Brookside student, Donna
Freeman's. poem, Remem-
branee Day.. She also read
about Col. McCrae who
wrote In Flanders. Fields. His
home was in Guelph. Mrs.
Bill Rintoul gave the topic.
Never Let It Happen Again.
Mrs. Rintoul read an article
telling of the differenct
friends who did not return.
Mrs. Ross, president, pre-
sided for the business. The
