Lucknow opened the scor- ing with a goal by Steve MacPherson. Ripley tied the game in the second, but 14 seconds later Dan Londry put one in for the go `ahead, followed by goals from Paul Hamilton and Kevin Clark. Ripley School news SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS VS TEACHERS. On November 29, , the Grade 13s will play against the teachers in volleyball. This event will, be held at noon. It should be interesting to see the outcome of the game. On December 3, there will be a professional activity day. Stu"dents.,wiil not go to school on that day. KING TUT On Wednesday, Decem- ber 5, some students of R.D.S. will be, going to Toronto to view the display of King Tut. The students are departing from Ripley at 5.00 a,m. and must be : at the museum at 9.00 a.m.. They are also going to see the Parliament Buildings and Murray Gaunt will speak to the students.' We hope they have .a good time. Immunization boosters will be given to 13 students on December 7. ' Intramural curling . starts this .week. It will be held Mondays and Tuesdays after school ' DANCE-A-THON '80 This Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1., students from R.D.S.,will be dancing for . money. ELEMENTARY NEWS By Tabatha Middelkamp and Lisa Murray Preparations have been completed for the Grade 7s to go to the Outdoor Education Centre , for the last week of November. Class 72 will go for Monday and Tuesday, re- turning Wednesday. Class 71 will go up on Wednesday and return . on Friday. Mr. Me- Gonegal will be In charge. Elementary classes at R.D.S. received their report cards this week. Everyone is getting ready for the Dance-a-thon. Elem- entary students will partici- pate on Saturday front.6 a.tn. till 12 noon. Some time ago Lisa Har- vey found a green bottle with A note in it on the shore at Bruce Beach. It was part of a Science experiment of a grade six class in Muskegan, Michigan, Lisa answered the letter a;nd recently received a letter from the girl in Musk- egan who had put the bottle into Lake Michigan. She en - doted a pieture and asked Lisa to keep on writing to her. Thanks for sharing your letter with us, Lisa. Despite the 4 - 1 lead Ripley fought back tomake the: score 4 3, Dan Londry's second goal of the game proved to be the game winner, as Ripley scored once more to make the final score 5 - 4. The third goal was scored by George Alton and assisted by Jamie Bere. Capturing the last goal of the night was Jamie Bere, assisted by Georges Alton. Playing back in Lucknow on November 21 still did not see a win for the boys, as they lost 5 - 1 to Howick. The only Lucknow goal was scor- ed by David Hamilton and assisted by David Emberlin. The next Bantam game Midgets win one, lose. one BY DOUG EADIE Thursday, November 22 saw. the Lucknow midgets lose a close one to Mildmay 5 - 4. By Christmas the . boys should be rounded into form and will no :doubt reverse the outcome with this opponent. The following night the team hosted Ripley and handed out a.5 = 3 loss to the visitors.
