and dance for the West
Huron Junior Farmers was
held: on November 17.
Master of ceremonies for
the evening was vice-presid-
eht,,Doug Aitchison. Murray
Irvin proposed a toast to the.
Queen and Alex Irvin then .
said Grace. Everyone enjoy
ed the . smorgasbord meal
prepared by the members.
Nancy Aitchison introduc-
ed the -head table: Alex Irvin,
social convener; Joanne
Pentland, public relations;
Jim Pentland,past president
and director; Sharon Blake,
director; Don Ritchie, presid-
• ent; Jim Phelan, guest
speaker; .Doug Aitchison,
vice-president; Nancy Aitchi-
son, treasurer; Lloyd Morri-
son, director; --Elizabeth Ir-
vin, secretary, and Larry
Henderson, assistant social
convener.'
Lloyd Morrison proposed a
toast to the Department of i
Agriculture. Bill Armstrong
replied.
Doug then presented Don I
Ritchie with his past presid-
cnt's pin and a gift .from , the
club: Don thanked the club
for . the gift. Rick Archam-
bault, Provincial. Director,
installed the new 1980 execu-
tive: Doug Aitchison, • presid-
ent; Murray Irvin., vice-pres-
ident; June Alton, secretary;
Ralph Morrison, 'treasurer;
Roger Morrison. public rela-
tions; Heather Blake,: Mary
Ann Ritchie and. Don Ritchie,
directors; Larry Henderson,
social convener and Alex,
Irvin, assistant social con-
vener.
Murray and Elizabeth Ir-
vin, King and Queen for the
club, gave a report of the
year's happenings. Murray '
is also King for Huron
County.
Jim Phelan, president of
Ontario Junior Farmers, was
introduced. Jim spoke about
goals and was very interest-
ing. Jim Pentland thanked
Jim. for his enjoyable' talk,.
A skit,' "Mixed Up Com-
mercials", was enjoyed. This,
was provided by Susan Irvin,
Donald Ritchie and . Ken
Ritchie.
The tables were then clear-
ed and made ready for the
dance. Music was provided
by a disc jockey. •
