Johnston, Mark, Susan,
and Kevin of Mississauga
motored up to Ripley to
visit :with her parents Mr.
and. Mrs. Walter Forster
and with her brother and
wife Mr. and Mrs. Jamie
Forster at thefamily
homestead on sideroad
ten east of Ripley. During
the recent evacuation of
Mississauga caused ,by
the derailment and fire in
those propane and
.chlorine cars Carolyn and
family left their home
and stayed with her sister
Mrs. Janet Millette ih
Waterloo from Sunday
evening tell Wednesday
morning, November 14.
A notice in the Ripley
Post Office -put up by the
postmaster Don McLay
states that the mail now
put in, the red box,outside
on the front fawn of the
officegoes outat eleven
thirty . on Sunday mor-
ning. There -is no longer a
mail dispatch at 12:45 on
Saturday. The London.
District Service has
cancelled this trip The
mail, to go •out of Ripley
from four thirty on
Friday .afternoon'should
be put in the red box, •
Allan Coiling, who.
lives just east of Ripley,
has been appointed the
localdriver for the
United Farmers '.Co-
operative . of'. Ripley
recently. Shipping days
for livestock with be on

About two weeks ago
Mr. and Mrs. Dan
MacDonald moved from.
Barrie to Ripley and are
now living in the Wilfred
Gamble home which they
purchased recently. Dan
is employed ` with the

given by Sadie MacLeod
reading the scripture and
meditation followed with
prayer by
Donalda
Gassel, who also had the
"Book Display" and took
several orders for same.
The topic on "Mary and
Martha" was well and
ably given by Hazel
MaeDoncald. She spoke

cards which they thought
spoke about "Missions'

square dance. Caller
Chester Emmerton were
the orchestra for 'the
dance. A good crowd
attended and all said that
it was the best en-
tertainment
n-tertainment in a long
time.
