land and Mr. Wilmot Colwell
of . Lansing. The Colwell
brothers were raised in the
Kinloss area and enjoyed
visiting the store at Black
Horse where their grand-
father, John Henry. Winter-
stein,was past masterin the
early 1900s. , .
Mr.. and Mrs, Wilfred
McQuillan • celebrated their
45th wedding anniversary on
Sunday, November 4th.. They
spent the day quietly with
their family and received.
many lovely gifts from them.

torate in education degree
from Nova University, Flor-
ida.
Dr. MacDonald is a grad-
uate of Liicknow High.
School, and received his nur-
sing education from Kitch-
ener-Waterloo• • Hospital. In
1967 Mac .obtained his ` B.S.
degree the University of
Windspr. In 1969 Dr. Mac-
Donald movedto 'California
and has assumed a variety of
nursing leadership positions.
Dr. MacDonald was intro-
duced to .the President and
'Vice ' President of . United
States, and to the ,governor of
California, and met many . f
the famous movie ' stars in-
cluding Bob Hope, •rank'
Sinatra, Red Skelton and Eva
Gabor.
In 1974 Mac obtained his
Masters of Science- degree
from the University of Ari-
zona, Tucson, .where he was,
elected president of his class.
Presently, Dr MacDonald is
chairman of the Health Sciy'
c o ence programs at Cuesta Col-

lege, San Luis Obispo, Cali-
fotnia, He and his wife, An-
, netke; have one son, Jeffrey,
age four.

The Lucknow Brownies
held their Hallowe'en party
on Tuesday; October 30.
They paraded in costume
to the Pinelodge Rest Home.
The. Brownies .made Hallow-
e'en .mobiles and .took them
to . the residents . and sang a
few songs for.. them.
After their visit, they
returned,to the Town Hall for
games and a treat:
Ben Mtltenburg, of.Lucknow, received the Robert D. Newlon
Meinorlal Scholarship on' September 27, 1979, at the
University of Guelph. This award :is given to the student with
' the highest standing In diseases of the digestive tract. The
award vas presented by Dr. K. Leslie, right.

Mrs. Philip Stewart spent
a weekend recently in Lon-
don and attended the convo-

Greg Stewart, received his
Master of Library Science
degree from the University of
Western Ontario. Greg is
now teaching French and
English in :London.
He has. also received his
Honours E.A. in French 'de•
gree from McMaster Univer,
shy: in Hamilton and his
Bachelor of Education , de-
gree at Althouse College in
London. Greg is the . son .of
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stewart
