Sunday, October 28 was
farewell Sunday at ,Trinity,
Ashfield for Rev. and Mrs.
Cook. The presentation of
two lamps was made to them
from the congregation by
Frank Alton of Session, Rill
Andrew Jr. of Stewards, and
Mrs, Ruth Alton of
Rev. Stewart Miner of
Workshop plans
craft sale
Exeter will be the supply
minister" for November and
December with church ser-
vices as usual.
Frank and Sally Ritchie
have returned from White-
law, Nortern Alberta, where
they spent three weeks with
their daughter, Anne and
Frank Riegling, Craig, Todd,
Lisa and Mark. While there,,
they visited with former
Ontario residents Clem and
Phyllis Steffler and family
(Kingsbridge), Orville and Worsley.
The Jack Reavie Oppor-
tunity Workshop will hold a
Christmas Craft and Bake
Sale on Saturday, December
8, the' day of the Wingham
Santa Claus parade:
The, sale will take place -at
the Wingham Town \Hall
from 1 - 4 p.m.
Connie Jamieson, Work-
shop Manager, reports that
the Centennial. Craft and
Bake Sale held this summer
was very successful. The
Jack Reavie Opportunity
Workshop for mentally re-
tardcd adults is filled to
•capacity with three new
trainees attending this year.
As well as providing a living
skills program, the trainees
are doing work contracts for
Striley Doors (garage .han-
dies and hinges), Russell
Fear (stamping plastic buck-
ets), and Wirefab Industries
(cutting' plastic tubing). The
trainees have been raking
lawns and are .now reWeb-
bing long and short lawn
chairs.
A variety of crafts are also
being prepared for the
Christmas Craft and Bake
Sale. The workshop is a very
active and productive place
and is providing excellent
training for those attending.
The Workshop would like
your assistance in collecting
the following items for mak-
ing crafts: yarn, dry cleaner
bags, old Christmas decora-
tions, old Christmas cards,
quilt batting, pieces of rib-
bon, lace, felt, old candles,
styrofoam, 'material, spice
jars, baby food jars, stS'ro-
foam and tin dishes, tin cans
with plastic lids, bottle caps,
cardboard tubes, cream

Rose Russel and family
(Teeswater), and Gerry and
Teresa Van Beers and family
(Kinloss). They reported
•warm sunny weather while
they were there and the
crops harvested about two
weeks earlier than usual -
Para Angew: daughter of Mr.,
and Mrs. Joe Agnew, also.
called at the Riegling home
while Frank and Sally were
there and they all had a good
visit. Pam teaches school at
Mrs. Edna MacLean of
Wingham visited on Sunday
with her sister, Betty and
Harvey Ritchie. and Bryan.
Ivan and Gail Cranston
travelled to Royal Oak, Mich-
igan on the -weekend to
attend the wedding of their
cousin, Danielle visited with
her grandmother while her
parents were away.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth
Kennedy of Seagrave, near
Port Perry, were guests of
Jim and Isabel Hunter over
the weekend.
Mrs. Wilma
Kitchener is
helping out at
her daughter,
Don Hackett.
