for the wedding ceremony of
Flora Margaret Simpson of
Kintail and Craig Davidson
Wardlaw of . Waterford:
The bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Duncan H. A.
Simpson of Kintail and the
late Duncan H. A. Simpson.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas D. Ward -
law of Waterford.
The Reverend Hugh Nug-
ent of Ripley and Mr. Robin
Wardlaw of Toronto, brother
of the groom, officiated at
the double ring ceremony.
Organist was Mrs. Douglas
Martyn and soloists were
Miss Kathryn Day who sang
"Here, There and Every-
where and David Healey
who sang "Beautiful" and
"The Wedding Song".. Pip-
er, David MacDonald, played
"Maid of Kintail" and other
traditional Scottish songs.
The bride was given in
marriage by her brother,
John Simpson of Kintail. She
wore a traditional white
gown of heavy French chiffon
with a Queen. Anne neckline,
fitted waist, full skirt,' long
train, sheer bell sleeves
fitted, to the elbow, French
guipure lace trim, .French
guipure appliques and cover-
ed buttons down the back of
the.._dress. She also wore a
long French tulle illusion veil
with a mantilla headpiece
and scalloped lace trim mat-
ching the dress trim. She
carried a cascade bouquet of
peach and white roses with
ferns and baby's breath.
Maid of honour was Mary
Lillian Simpson 'of Kintail,
sister of the bride; She was
gowned in a cornflower blue
silk polyester dress with
blouson top, slit cape sleeves
and scooped neck and back.
She wore a peach rose in .her.
hair and carried a bouquet of
peach roses, white lilies and
blue delphiniums in her
arms.
Bridesmaids wersarbara
Farrish of London, Kathleen
O'Keefe of London and Mrs.
Melody Thomason of Tor-
onto. all friends of the bride.
They were gowned the same
as the maid of honour and
carried the same bouquets.
All the bridal attendant
wore gold chokers, gifts of
the bride.
Groomsman was Cameron
Thomson of St. Catharines,
best . friend of the groom.
Guests were ushered into
the church by David and
Jonathan Wardlaw of Tor-
onto, brothers of the groom
and David. Simpson of Kin -
tail, brother of the bride.
The groom and his attend-
ants all wore black cutaway
tuxedos. The groom wore a
white rose in his lapel and
the attendants wore blue
tinted roses in their lapels.

Candles were.. lit at the
front of the church by Brian
Simpson and Duncan Simp-
son of Kintail, brothers of the
bride.
Following . the wedding
ceremony, a dinner and re-
ception were held at the
Lucknow Community Centre.
Centrepieces of peach. roses
decorated the tables and the
head table was adorned by. a
wedding cake decorated, in.
peach and blue.
The bride's mother greet-
ed guests wearing a long
huckleberry coloured silk
polyester dress with a croch-
eted blouson .top with scoop-
ed neck and back and a
corsage of pink and mauve
\tiny roses.. ,�
The groom's mother as-
sisted wearing a long cream
coloured lace knit dress but -
• toned down the front with
long sleeves and a corsage of
bronze coloured roses.
Guests were present from
Princeton, New Jersey; Lew-
iston,
New York; Calgary,
Alberta;' Ottawa, Toronto,
Guelph, Oakville, Waterford,
London, Waterdown, Niag-
ara Falls and the surround-
ing area of Kintail.
For a wedding trip to the
Maritime provinces., the
bride changed to a cream
coloured crepe cocktail
length dress with tiny pleats
on the bodice and back and
V-shaped neckline. She ,also
wore . snakeskin shoes, or-
ange lilies in her hair and a
corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Wardlaw are
residing at 30 Gloucester
Street, Toronto. The bride is
a student at Knox College,
Torontoand the groom is
an employee of Conferation
Life Insurance, 'talso in Tor -
Onto.
