The Lucknow and District Branch of the
Arthritis Society reports that a total of $1900
has been raised in this year's campaign.
This money will be applied to the Society's
program of research and education.
Last year many research projects worthy
of research had to be declined by The
Arthritis Society because of lack of funds. It
is hoped this year's campaign will improve
on that, because there is no doubt that
arthritis research is paying off.
Open snack bar in store....

where they could buy a sandwich and a cup
of coffee.
Helen says the snack bar is popular with
the teenagers who drop in when they get off
the School bus and truckers are stopping on
their way through.
Carl and Helen are not stocking a wide
selection of groceries because they want the
business to be a convenience store. They
plan to stock things people need but may •run
out of or have forgotten when they did their
grocery shopping.
The Village Store and Snack Bar is open
six days a week' and is closed Mondays.
The Schacks have remodelled the living
quarters in the store and plan to make their
home here. They are looking forward to
living in Whitechurch because they agree
life in a small town is preferable to city life.
