successful Stanley party

Mrs. Jim Young held .a
successful Stanley party last
Monday evening with Mrs..
Gordon Wall of Wingham as
demonstrator. Afterwards
lunch was served by the
hostess.
The Teeswater Girl Guides
held their first meeting for
the season on Wednesday
evening, with seven- girls
present. They met at the
town hall, . then had a wiener
and marshmallow roast at
theback of the park. After-
wards they sang songs and
had an enjoyable evening.
Kim Coughlin is pne of the
members who was present.
Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Steven Donaldson
who were married in Ripley
last Saturday. Mr, and Mrs.
Jim Springer and Pam at-
tended the wedding.
Russell Young. of Toronto
spent some holidayswith his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clif-
ford Young,
Mrs: Clifford Young visit-
ed with Margaret Moffat of
Toronto in Teeswater last'
Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Len Cough-
lin 'attended the dance at
Formosa on Saturday even-
ing, sponsored by the Irish
Rovers baseball team. A
large crowd was in attend-
ance and a good time was
had by all.
The Whitechurch Young
People held their regular
meeting on Sunday evening
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim de Boer.
Mr.. and Mrs. • Clifford
Young visited with Mr.: and
Mrs. Wesley Young of Luck-
now Sunday evening. Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Scott visited
at the same home recently.

groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Wilkins, Am
berley, Ontario..
The church was decorated
in candelabra,white daisies,
yellow• carnations and white
mums for the ceremony per-
formed by Rev. Alan Harley.
'Pie bride, given in 'mar-
riage by her parents, chose a
gown of white jersey with an
empire waist, a high open
neckline collar and ' long.
sleeves trimined with lace
appliques' and seed pearls. A
picture •hat : trimmed with'
matching lace, . seed pearls
and fingertip veil, completed . .The .bride changed to a
beige skirt and jacket with.
matching peach blouse and
corsage.: of peachsilk roses
for the couple's honeymoon
to the Thousand Islands and
Upper Canada Village.

The organist, Jean Keen-
leyside, Burlington; played
Love Divine, as the proces-
sional and Joyful, Joyful, for
the recessional:-. The an-
thems, The Wedding Song
and There Is Love, were
played during the ceremony.
The reception" followed at
the Pig and Whistle Inn,
Burlington, which was dec-
orated With vases of yellow
mums, carnations and 'white
daisies.

close friend of the bride.
They were gowned alike in
floor'length dresses of,yellow.

bodice, spaghetti straps and
matching lace trimmed jack -
Each carried a basket of
whitedaisies, yellow carna-
tions, . baby's breath and
sprigs: of wheat. A white.
daisy in their hair accented
their outfits:
Groomsman was John Hof-
fman of Lucknow, best friend
of the groom and brother of
tate bride. Guests were ush-
ered ly Elwood Wagler of
Brunner, brother-in-law of
the bride and Jack Wilkins of
Lucknow, brother of"' the
groom.
The groom and his attend-
ants wore '3 piece suits of
brown tones and pale yellow
roses.
The bride was feted by
three showers, two in Bur-
lington given by Dorothy.
Ferguson, a friend of the
family, by her bridesmaids,
and one given at Brookside
