Of old favourites In the Fall Fair Parade Saturday and
also provided some equally fine entertainnient at the

on Friday afternoon to hear a
Concert staged by The Gold-
en Ages Choir from the
Dunlop Senior Citizens Cen-
tre in. St. Catharines,

choir -directet1 by Rev. Mat-
thew TaYlOr. They presented
choir selections, guartettes
and solos, accompanied •by
piano and violin.
•They, satig familiat songs,
both popular and sacred.
One quite elderly man sang,
"Ote Man River" and "Dan-
ny Boy", which was a. great,
credit to him and a delight to .
his listeners. There are about
seyenty.mebbers in the choir
• and they practice two hours-
• every Friday. night.
Those in the carload were
Mrs. Ed. McQuillin, Mrs.
Margaret Moffat, Mrs. Sus-
an McNaughton, Miss Liella
Finlayson, and Mrs. Grace

been released pn August 24
at O'FalIon, illinois and

had released the. balloon.

land, 79 years old, is visiting

sary. • The Roosters kept pace
taking five points from the
Hens to remain in second
place with eight points. The
Geese are third With six
points while the Turkeys and
Hens are tied for fourth
position with five points.
Becki Culbert was the top
bowler with a 252 single and
565 triple.

Hamilton tender
accepted for arena
• Al Hairiiiton of Lucknow
will again act as arena man-
ager for the 1979-80 seasbn.
The village council ran
tenders for the job but
Hamilton was the only one to
apply. His tender calls for
payment of $385 per week
with any assistants to be paid
from that salary.
Hamilton will handle tick-
ets, rnaintenance, rentals,
ice making and will work
with Bill Hunter on hockey
scheduling.
He will begin ice making
operations October 15 So* the
ice .may be ready as early as
October 22.
