SPENCE Of interest to many old time residents of Lucknow is the recent death in Burlington of James L. Spence, B.Sc., the younger son of the late Dr. Armstrong and Mrs. Spence who with their family were long time residents of Lucknow. "Jim's” education in Lucknow was followed by attending Wingham, Upper School and then Queens University in Kingston, where he graduated with Honours in Metallurgy. Following his marriage to Dorothy E. Oliver of Ottawa and some years in his profession in the U.S.A., he spent two years in Research in the National Research Council in Ottawa.
