An introductory service
will be held in Bluevale

at 8.30 p.m. for Mr. Robert
Perry, student minister.

Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Reid,
Englishtown, Cape Breton
Island, Nova Scotia.
Visitors on the weekend
with Mrs. Robert Mowbray
and Kevin Falconer were
Paul Falconer,. Sarnia and
Beverly Harris, London.
Miss Lois Falconer of
Stratford visited Sunday with
Mrs. R. Mowbray.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moore
and son Gordon of Esterhuz-
ey,. Saskatchewan, are visit-
ing fora few weeks with Mrs.
R. Mowbray and other rela-
tives. On Sunday they visited
with Misses Annie and Mary
Laidlaw.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mow-
bray, Lucknow, were Sunday
callers on Mrs. Robert Mow-
bray.
Last week we erroneously
announced that 'communion
services would be held at the
United Church on Sunda
September 23. The correct
date is Sunday, September
30 with Rev. Eric Le Drew in
charge of the service.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mc-
Clenaghan and Mrs. Mary
McClenaghan were recently ..
in London and visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Des-
roches.
Mrs. Bill Purdon spent last
week with Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Gaunt and Jennifer
of Chatham. On the weekend.
Bill Purdon went to Chatham
to bring her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bevin Tiffin
accompanied by his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin of
Wingham, spent a few days
in Toronto.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Laidlaw of London held
a birthday party for Michelle
to celebrate her first birth-
day. Present for the dinner
were Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Elliott, grandparents; Mrs.
Agnes Elliott, great grand-
mother; Mr. and Mrs. Elroy
Laidlaw, grandparents; Bar-
ry. Elliott, Clara Milligan,
David Elliott, Sherry Brad-
ley, Mr. and Mrs. Ducharme
and Karen Elliott. During the
afternoon other guests arriv-
ed. Michelle', received gifts of
clothing and toys.

stitute Agriculture -and Can-
adian Industries meeting was
held in the Community Mem-
orial Hall Wednesday even-
ing, September 12.
Mrs. • Tom Metcalfe was
hostess, giving everyone a

the meeting with the Ode,

Johnston, convener, was cal-
led to preside for the meet-
ing., Mrs. Bill Rintoul and
Mrs. Lorne Durnin gave
readings,
Community singing was
enjoyed with Mrs. Don Ross,
pianist. The motto, credit
makes things dear, was
given by Mrs. Elgin John-
ston.
Mrs. Tom Metcalfe intro-
duced the guest speaker,
Mrs. Brown, whom she had
taught in school. Mrs. Brown
ihtroduced her subject, What
can be made of pine cones,.
with the story of the- Three
Bears, showing the .bears;
chairs, beds and the many
flowers, birds, wreaths, all
made of cones. Mrs, Brown
wasthanked on behalf of the
Institute by Miss Mary Hehn._
and presented with a. gift.
Miss Merle Wilson gave a
report of the Grey -Bruce
convention held at Meaford
Tuesday and Wednesday
where she was the delegate
for Whitechurch . Branch.
Following this report the

National Convention to be
Wednesday, September 19 at
8 p.m. and invitation from
Belmore to attend their anni-
versary October 10.
The ,Rally is to be held
October. .18 at. Armow. The
mkt meeting will be held
October 10 at 8 p.m. when
guests will be present from
Bluevale, Belgrave, Kair-
shea and Wingham Senior.
Lunch was served by Mrs.
Dan Tiffin, Mrs. L. Durnin
and- Mrs. Jas. McInnes.
Visitors on Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Beecroft
and Karen were Mr.. and
Mrs. Robert Sinnamon and
family of Monkton. and Mr.
and Mrs. Ronald Beecroft,
Kevin, Shannon and Heather
of Wingham. When Kevin
arrived back in Wingham, he
had to be taken to Wingham
Hospital where he has to
remain for a few days.
Miss Myrtle Beecroft„ of
Brookhaven Nursing Home,
has been admitted .to Wing -
ham Hospital for a feww days.
