St. Helens wedding unites Lucknow area couple

MacPherson and Stephen
Caslick on Saturday,
August 11, at 4p.m.
The " bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William MacPherson,
R.R. 1 Lucknow and the
groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Wilford Caslick
of Wingham.
Rev. A. Cook officiated
amid a setting of yellow
candelabra adorned by
yellow and white daisies.
Organist was Mrs. Ann
Pritchard and Larry
MacPherson, brother of
the bride, was soloist. He
sang "Annie's Song",
"Just the Way You Are"
and "Twelfth of Never'.
Given in marriage by
her parents the bride
wore a white floor length
gown of silk chiffon,
sweetheart neckline, long
full bishop sleeves,
empire waistline, ac-
cordion . pleats Jailing
from the waistline, long
chapel train. A charming
Juliet headpiece held her
finger tip veil in place.
Shecarried a cascade of
yellow roses and English
Ivy.
Janet MacPherson of
Edmonton was maid of
honor and bridesmaids
were Margaret
MacPherson of Regina,
Mrs. Bev Yundt, Kin-
cardine, sisters of the
bride; Mrs. Dianne
Collyer of Napanee,
sister of the groom and
Mrs. Ethel Caslick of
London, sister-in-law of
the groom. They were all
dressed alike in floor
length gowns of yellow
polyester silk, blouson
style, cap sleeves and full
skirts. They carried
nosegays of yellow and
white daisies.
Flowergirl was Alyssa
Caslick of Sarnia, niece of.
the groom. Her dress was
white with yellow eyeIet.
flowers and she carried a
basket of yellow and
white daisies.
Groomsman was Greg
Alton of Lucknow. Ushers
were Bill Kennedy of.
Toronto, Keith, Raymond
of Brussels,: Jim Leslie of
Embro, friends of the.

hostesses,. Mrs. O.
Brooks, Mrs. A. MacNay,
Mrs: J. Collinson and
Mrs. N.J. ' MacKenzie
serving a delicious
dessert.

On Sept. 19 Teeswater
Institute has invited the
district institutes to at-
tend a meeting when Mrs.
David Ireland will be
showing slides. The Rally
at Armow will be ' held
Oct. 18. Mrs. Leddy,
Lucknow Institute
Curator, had the
Tweedsmuir books on
display, with their new
covers.
The roll call was an-
swered with Name a
Canadian Province, its
premier and floral em -
blem.
Mrs. O. Brooks, con-
venor of the Educational
and Cultural Activities
committee took charge of
the program which was
opened with the singing of
"0 Canada", followed
by a sing song with Mrs.
Wes. Ritchie at the piano.
The motto, "A Parents'
Task," was given by Mrs.
J. Collinson, and several
numbers on thepiano
were played by Mrs. C.
Brown.
Mrs. A. MacNay in-
•troduced our guest
speaker, Mr. Keith
Roulston of Blyth. He
spoke on how the scripts
of their different plays
originate, the work that
goes into rehearsals and
what goes on while the
play is in progress. Mr,
Roulston also outlined the
financial part on putting
on these plays. Mrs,
MacNay thanked Mr,
Roulston for his very
interesting talk and
presented him witha.gift.
The meeting closed
with the "Queen".

The reale attendants all
wore beige and brown
tuxedos, beige ruffled
shirts, brown bow tie's,
white boutonnieres.
The bride's mother
chose a formal gown of
mint green chiffon, round
neck and cape .draped
from shoulders. A cor-
sage of yellow roses
completed her ensemble.
The groom's mother
wore a floor length gown
of peach polyester silk,
blouson style, full skirt,
Slit sleeves. She wore a
corsage of yellow and
white roses.
Yellow candles and a
three -tiered wedding
cake adorned the bride's
table at the Community
Centre, Lucknow.
Ross Caslick of London,
brother of the groom, was
master of ceremonies.
For travelling to
Muskoka the bride chose
a peach street length two-
piece dress, white ac-
cessories, corsage of
yellow and white roses.
