This year the Lucknow
Agriculture Society is
pleased toannounce that
former area, resident,
Jim Reed, will officially
open the 1979edition of
the Luoknow Fall Fair.

Hutchinson.

Jim was born in
Dungannon, the son of
Mr.. and Mrs. Allen Reed
and attended high school
in Lucknow. After high
school he ' attended the
University of Western.
Ontario in London and
then went to 'Toronto
where he began yworking
on stage and in television.
Jim has appeared on
the air with W-5 for more
than five years now' and

Miss Dominion of Canada, 'Catherkte MacKhitosh will crown
Miss Mid -western Ontario at the Lucknow Fall Fair
September 15. Born in Oakville she represented Thunder Bay
hi the pageant to attain the title of MIS' Dominion of Canada.
A 23 -year-old utilireraity graduate she hu a bachelor of
'Silence and a bachelor of education. She eioys 'ports, live
theatre and .danting. She will represent her country in the
• 1VIlis World Pageant, and other international nimbi each as
the MISS international Pageant and Queeil, of the Pacific .

Mrs. Reed lives in
Ripley at the senior
citizens centre . and ' a
sister, Mrs. Der,Stailley,
also lives in the 'Ripley
area. His other sister,
Eleanor Townsend, is
well known as the' North
American Fiddle
'Champion.
Jim - Reed Will be a
guest at the Mir Friday
evening and will oficially
open the grounds on
Saturday afternoon.
