Bill Rintoul took grandson,
Steven Rintoul, to Waterloo
to spend holidays with his
cousin, Jeffery Oberholtzer
and on the weekend Steven
was 'brought home by Dave
Oberholtzer and Jeffery.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Campbell and Heather of
Kitchener spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Rintoul, and Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Gutoskie, Michael and
Michelle of Waterloo spent
the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Robinson,
Mark and Tracy of Belgrave.
Mrs. Eileen Parker of Ex-
eter came on Saturday and
Mr. and Mrs. Carr McClen-
aghan went to the Rodeo at
Durham.

The September U.C.W.
was held Wednesday, Aug-
ust 29 at the home of Mrs.
Elwood Groskorth, Goderich.
Mrs. Wilda Laidlaw open-
ed the meeting with a read-
ing, Christ is the Head of the
Church, followed by prayer.
Mrs. Laidlaw gave a read-
ing,. How leaders in the Old
Testament relied on power of
God in times of trouble. Mrs.
Elmer Sleightholm read the
scripture. Mrs. Laidlaw gave
the topic about a Young
Japanese minister leaving
the cityand taking a two
point charge in the country
where she found fulfilment in
helping the poor in rural
areas. Mrs. Evelyn Gibb,
Mrs. Lorne Durnin, Mrs.
Dan Tiffin, and Mrs. Muriel
Thompson sang Breathe on
me breath of Life, with Mrs.
Agnes Farrier -organist.
Twelve answered the roll
call, naming a missionary
and country they are serving.
A thank you note was read
from. Mrs. Ben McClenaghan
for a birthday gift.
Mrs. Farrier thanked Mrs.
Groskorth for having the
meeting and closed the meet-
ing with prayer. The birthday
tea was then held.
The Young People's Soc-
ietyheld their August meet-
ing last week at the. home of
Mr. and Mrs. Jim de Boer,
which ended in a shower for
bride-to-be, Sherrey . Brad-
ley. Games and contests
