Dungannon anniversary committee report on progress

dine and Bervie on Wednes-
day.
Mrs. Mary Bere visited
Mr. and Mrs. lan Hulley (nee
Debbie Vella) .at Londesboro
on. Sunday. Debbie's brother
and sister, Cathy and Bob
Vella, from Nova Scotia, are
visiting the Hulleys and their
mother, Mrs, Joy Vella '"at
Seaforth for a few days.
Some of the Centennial
Committee arereporting on
their work to date. Randy
Kerr, chairman of the bar
committee, reports that Lab-
atts have agreed to the
setting up of the beer tent for
the birthday celebrations and
supplying trophies for vari-
ous events throughout the
four days. He also reports
more renovations are to be
made tothe hall, hopefully
by October. A Wintario grant
has given the go ahead for
enlarging the hall but the
addition to the hall is to be
left until 1981 because of a
busy 1980. Don't forget the
Centennial dance on Septem-
ber 29th to Side Kick.
SPORTS
The sports scene is coming
to a close again for another
season, and Wednesday
night at Lucknow the . Dun-
gannon "Beez" captured the
"B" trophy for °the second
year in a row, by. defeating
North Ashfield in the best 2
our 3 games. Congratula-
tions girls!
The Kingsbridge girls de-
feated the Kintail team on
Thursday evening to capture,
the "A" trophy.
Douglas Rice of Detroit
Michigan who has been
visiting in our area, spent
some time with his cousin,
Mel Jones, before returning
home on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hallam
of Auburn visited with her
mother, Mrs. Gertrude Park
on Sunday.

Mr. George Cowan began
his ministry in Dungannon
with a sermon entitled,
"First Things First". The
choir sang "Lily of the
Valley", led by the organist,
Mrs. Jean Elliott. '
Mr. Cowan welcomed all
visitors and those home for
the holiday weekend. He
expressed pleasure for him-
self and Mrs. Cowan in being
in Dungannon and requested
to be let know the ways he
can best serve the congrega-
tion. He would appreciate
being advised of those who.
are sick or otherwise in need
of visitation.
