CNE pageant
Miss Lucknow Fair, Sherri Jerome of ,
Ashfield Township, will be participating in
the Queen of the Fairs pageant at the
Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto this
month.
The annual "Miss C.N.E; - Queen of the
Fairs" Pageant is the highlight event of the
Canadian. National Exhibition on August 15,
opening day, with the theme of "Queen of
the Fairs" Day.
This year 95 beautiful queens from their
respective Agricultural Societies will be
competing for the "Miss C.N.E. Queen of
the Fairs" crown and honour of reigning
over 20 days of the Exhibition.
• Master of Ceremonies for this extrava-
ganza will be Gene Taylor, international TV
host, -and the Co-ordinator, Miss Jacquie
Perrin of CFTO-TV and a former Miss
Dominionof Canada,

The Lucknow Agricultural Society will,
again choose a young lady to represent
Lucknow as Miss Lucknow Fair Queen.
Organizations in the Lucknow •area are
being approached to sponsor a girl for the
Queen contest .and are asked to provide a
sash with the name of their organization for
their representative to wear in the contest.
The winner will ride in the Lucknow. Fair
parade on• Saturday, September 15 and will'
represent Lucknow in the Miss Mid -western
Ontario Beauty Pageant to be held at the
Community Centre that night. Miss Domin-
ion of Canada will be in attendance to act as
one of the judges and will crown this year's
Miss: Midwestern Ontario.
If a girl wishes to enter the Lucknow Fair
