were Mary's cousins, Sister
Margaret Andre from Fort
Wayne, Indiana and Mrs.
Andrew Waechter of Berk-
ley, Michigan. Marney Men-
ard of Newmarket was Mary
Luanne's weekend visitor.
The Clares and their guests
attended the annual reunion
of St. Michael's North
Branch Church on Sunday.

Harry of Tillsonburg were
weekend visitors with their
parents, Theo and Tena
VanDiepen and family.
Jerry and Denise Dolff and

David of Kitchener, are vaca-
tioning at a cottage near

area, attended the successful
auction sale of household
furnishings for. Mrs. Dorothy
MacKenzie on Saturday af-
ternoon.. , Mrs.., MacKenzie
has taken upresidence in
Goderich.,
Clem and Phyllis Steffler
and family of Fairview, Al-
berta, who have been holi-
daying in Ontario for the past
three weeks, attended Mass
Saturday evening at. St ' Jos-
eph's. They returned to their
home in Fairview on. Sunday
morning, .catching thew early
flight from Malton Aiiport.
Mr. Clem Steffler Sr. is a
patient in University Hospit-
al, London, room 816. Warm

Chester family cottage at

Rita Howard spent Friday
with her daughters, Anita
and Janette„ in London. Anita
left by air'Friday`evening for
a ten-day vacation in Calgary
with her sister, Kathleen.
They attended the O'Keefe
wedding and reception on
Saturday in Calgary.
On Sunday afternoon, a
Nurses' Reunion and Tea
was held •in the Wingham
Training Center for the Reg_
istered Nurses. Assistants.
Those attending from this
area were. Hanny Scott and ,
Thelma and Delores Van
Osch. Approximatell, 140
registered, and it was part of
Wingham's Centennial Cele-
brations.
Mari; Steffler of Fairview,
Alba* visited his friend,
Brent` Van Osch and his
family for a few days last '
week.
Visiting with Mrs. Berna-
dine Kinney is her sister-in-
law, Mrs. Albert O'Loughlin
of Troy, Michigan.
Jim Wallett of Jackson,
Michigan, is holidaying with
the John Howard family.
Brian and Morris, sons of
Pete and Betty Van Osch, left
on Monday for Langton;
They will be working on a
tobacco farm in that area.
David, their eldest son, en-
listed in the Canadian Armed
Forces and is stationed in
Cornwallis; Nova Scotia, for
basic training.
Helen and Max Rielging
attended the neighbour's
surprise "25th wedding an-
niversary" celebration for
Peggy and Duncan Farrish
on Thursday, August 2nd. It
was held at the Farrish farm
home on 86 highway, with
everyone enjoying the even-
ing.
The Dan Murphys held the
Simpson family reunion in.
honour of Muriel's mother
who was celebrating her 75th
birthday. The family gather-
ed at the Murphys' summer
home in Port Albert on
Saturday, August 4th with
families camping on the..
grounds surrounding the
home. The group of forty
member attended • Sunday
morning Mass at St. Jos-
eph's Church. After Mass
they filled the front, pews of
the church for a private
family prayer service. The
Murphyfamily regulajrly at-
tend 'Mass at St. Joseph's
whenever they are yin the
area.
Mary ' Adelmann and her
nephew, Todd Friend of
Lavonia, Michigan, and Car-
rie O'Neill of Goderich, were
recent visitors with the form-
er's uncles, Matthew and
Leonard O'Loughlin in Ash-
field._
Rev. Fr. C. F. McMartin
and his housekeeperwof many
years, Miss. M. 'O'Connell of
London, visited . with Mr.
Frank Sullivan and other
friends at Kingsbridge on
Sunday, August 5th. Rev. Fr.
'McMartin was Parish Priest
at 'Kingsbridge from 1950 to
1952.

the home of her. parents,
Stefanie . and Peter J. Vogt
and fafn.ily.
Several families from ,the
area attended the Centennial
celebrations in Wingham, as
well as attending the Old'
Boys' •Reunion in Teeswater.
A big "welcome' to Anne
and Stephen Andrew, who,
recently purchased the form-
er John Plaster farm on the
9th concession. They have
been busy redecorating their
farm home and havetaken
up residence there. At the
present time, they are re-
building the back part of
their house, adding a spaci-
ous room. Mubh happiness to
you both.
Anne and Bruce Pritchard
of Mississauga, and friends,
Debby and Chris Graham of
Cambridge -Galt, have been
camping all weekend on the
beach behind the Clarice
Dalton home.
Marianne and Jim McCaf-
frey of Kitchener spent the
holiday weekend visiting her
sisters, Betty and Eugene
Frayne and family, and Peg-
gy and Ed O'Grady and.
family at . their cottage at
Lurgan Beach.
Bill and kine Masters and
family of Clarkson are Vaca-
tioning at Dr. Peter Bolland's
summer home on 21 high-

On Saturday, July 7, 1979
at St. Joseph's Church,
Kingsbridge, Elaine Corrine
Stewart and Paul Leo O'Don-
nell were united in marriage.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William G.
Stewart, Dungannon, and
the groom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Desmond O'Don-
nell, Kingsbridge.
Father Ed Dentinger offic-
iated the double ring cere-
mony and Reverend Clyde
Westhaver gave a prayer for
the. newlyweds. Miss Mari-
anne Frayne was the organist
and •played and sang several
pieces such as "You Light
Up My Life" and `Colour
My World",
The bride was given in
marriage by her father and
wore a white polyester knit
St. Helens WI
The regular meeting of St.
Helens Women's Institute
was held in St. Helens W.I.
Hall on Thursday evening
with an attendance of 13
members. This was the Cit-
izenship and World Affairs
meeting.
The roll call, "Why does
Canada attract people from
other countries brought
many interesting answers.
Final plans were made for
catering to a wedding dinner
August 11 . and some plans
were made for a 50th wed-
ding anniversary later in the
month. Arrangements were
made for the group display at
Lucknoul Fall Fair.'
A spelling bee prepared by
Miss B. McQuillin was con-
ducted by Mrs, B. Raynard
and certainly showed just
how rusty we were on our
spelling.
• The motto prepared by
Mrs. F. McQuillin was given .
by Mrs. I. Clark.
A dainty lunch • of fruit
bread and cheese was served
by the hostesses 1Mts. M.
Curran and Mrs. F. Mewhin-
ney.

long blouson sleeves, with
lace insert around neckline.
A Juliet cap of matching lace .
accented with tiny lace dais-
ies held her two-tier veil
edged with matching lace.
She carried a . cascade of
yellow roses, baby's breath
and white daisies.
Matron of honour was
Mrs. Debbie Park of Dun-
gannon and bridesmaids
were Debbie Hulan of Lon-
don, Annabel Stewart of
Dungannon and Lila Stewart
of Dungannon. They wore
full length gowns of yellow
Swiss dot over yellow. Two
tiers of yellow Swis dot frills
composed the sleeves. They
carried . white daisies . with
yellow and blue bridal
wreath nosegays of silk flow-
ers and wore matching bridal
wreath in their hair.
Laurie O'Neill of Kings-
brid$e was flower : girl. She • ,
wore a .yellow floor length,
gown trimmed with white
lace and yellow ribbon. She
carried flowers similar to the
bridesmaids.
The groom's best man was
Mr, Bernard O'Neill of Kin -
tail and ushers were Gary
Courtney of Blyth, Eric Dren-
nan of Nile and Brian Stewart
of Dungannon. Michael
Campbell of Belfast was
ringbearer. ,
The .groom chose an ivory
tuxedo with black velvet trim
and trousers and yellow rose
boutonniere. The grooms-
men . wore yellow tuxedos
with black velvet trim and
trousers and blue and yellow
bridal wreath boutonnieres.
The dinner was held at the
Lucknow District Community
Centre with Mr. Bernard
Campbell as the master of
ceremonies. \ The reception
followed at 9.00 p.m. to 1,00
a.m.
The couple travelled to
Cedar Point, Ohio on , their
honeymoon. They will reside
in Dungannon.
