Luba Weber and her father were attending a reunion in Western Canada when she ,was hospitalized for a couple of weeks. We wish her a Safe trip home from Edmonton when she is released. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Condie and Trevor of Larder Lake visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Clark. Mrs. Robert Buchanan, who had been visiting here and, in Gains- borough, Saskatchewan, rer turned to her home in Kirkland Lake with the Con - dies. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Web- ster of Forest and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Metteson and Jason of 'London visited with California visitors at Silver Lake Mr. and Mrs. Winford Thomson of Fresno Calif. spent the week with their cousins Mrs. Gladys Arnold, Mr. Richard McCosh, Mr. and Mrs. Don 1VIcCosh and Mr. and Mrs. Jim McEwan and Sandy of Silver Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Boyle of Peterborough were weekend guests. with Mr. and Mrs. Francis Boyle. Recent visitors with the Boyle family were Donna Witty and Sandy Mac Vicar from Guelph. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elliott and Mrs. Donald Forster of Purple Grove W.I. were demonstrating quilting at the Museum in Southampton on Friday. Friday. BY JOAN OSBORNE Forty 4-H Exchange members with • their chaperones from Saskatchewan 'arrived at London Airport on Mon., July n for a visit in several Ontario counties.,. Eight of these young people are visiting at homes in Bruce County. Kathy Hansen of Hazlet, Saskatchewan, is visiting with Joan Osborn d on the,0 4th of Huron. While here the Osbornes plan to take Kathy to see several plates of interest in the area. Already she has enjoyed a swim -in Lake Huron and has seen a lighthouse for the first time. On Wed., Aug. 1-, the Saskatchewan 4-1-lers accompanied by their Ontario hosts will travel to London Airport to fly to Toronto and then to Regina. JOan will • be staying with the Hansens who farm 1000 acres. The Ontario delegates will return to London on Aug. 12. Open House Canada, a federal program Which funds two-way exchanges between yeung people throughout Canada, is paying most' of the travel expenses. Mr, and Mrs, Ivan Clark last week. ' Margaret MacPherson re- turned home for her vaca- tion, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill MacPherson. Margi is from Alberta and will lie home until after her sister's, wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Maclntyre of Richmond Hill spent a couple of days with Helen Todd. and Isabel Mil- ler. They also enjoyed the' company of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Laidlaw and family of Wingham, on Sunday. Debbie McRoberts of Lon- don has returned to visit again"' with her cousin, Lisa Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Bob MacGil- livray and Michelle will be returning home this week. They have been visiting rela- tives in Calgary, Alberta. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Cran- ston are visiting 'relatives in Wiscon U.S.A. They will return home thisweek. Christina and Amanda Todd enjoyed their ,cousins visiting fora couple of days. They were Duncan MacAul- ay of Ripley and Shelley Maclntyre. from Willowdale. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dors- cht and Doug and Don had most of their family home for the weekend. Their daught- er, Susan Pavey, Jeff and Murray are visiting for three weeks. Susan's husband; Ross, will be joining them this week. Mts. The children who attaded enjoyed a sing song with harmonica, guitar and piano music supplied by the guests. Doris Mewhinney gave a reading and Jo -Ann Todd conducted agame. Gail then opened her gifts assisted by her sister, Bev Yundt of Kincardine and future sister-in-law, Ethel Caslick of London. Gail thanked the guests for the gifts and extended an invita- , • non to come for a visit as she will be living in the com- munity. Lunch was then served.
