Ripley. The Ripley Huron
Fire DepartMent was
called to. Wayne Lowry's
place where one of the
machines was on fire.
Donnie Fludder had the
misfortune to break a
couple of bones in his foot
and is now wearing a
'cast.
Joe Dickinson who
suffered an injury to a leg
muscle is slowly
recovering from it.

Schmidt of Walkerton
visited with Fran and Ab
Wylds.
Mrs. Martin Phellan,
who was recently a
patient in Kincardine and
District Hospital is back
home to Ripley with her
husband and daughters
Tracy and Becky.
On Thursday afternoon

Dan Wylds celebrated his
93rd birthday on July 19 at
the home of Mr.• and Mrs.
Warren Wylds, where he
resides. Mr. Wylds has been
very active all his life and
plans to be on registration at
the Ripley Craft Show on
July 27 and 28. There he will
meet many friends of long
standing.
Mrs. Gordon Finlayson re-
turned home Friday evening
after spending the past week
at Guelph University where
she was enrolled in a course.
Mrs. Duncan Farrigh was
in J.ondon on. Thursday
wh6re she attended another
shower for her future daugh-
ter-in-law. The wedding will
take place August 4th in
London.
Mrs. Oliver McCharles
was hostess on Tuesday
evening to the executive of
the Ripley and District Hor-
ticultural Society. Fifteen
attended and made plans for
the August Flower Show and
tea to be held this year in the
Ilion Township Hall in
Ripley.
The • first Fartish picnic
was held_Sunday afternoon at '
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Famish, •Gordon and
Chris. Plans were made for
,future , gatherings and a '

weekend.
Murray Weber Sr. and
son Tim of the Chesley
area were down to their
home on Malcolm Street
last Wednesday. A week
ago Mr. and Mrs. Murray
Weber of Kincardine
made a wonderful
cleanup of the grounds.

auction sale for Jack
MacLennan of Ashfield
township on Highway 21
between Amberley and

Mrs. Mildred Hamilton of
Listowel, grandson. Pat
Broome of Belfast, and
Mr. Kenny McIntyre of
Waterloo, formerly of
Kincardine. Kenny is a
twin brother of Mrs. Gary
Pollock.
On Monday of last
week Jim Needham was
down to. the Toronto
airport where he picked
up his son Larry who was
playing in the MacNish
Distillery Pipe Band at
the gathering of the Clans
in Antigonish, Nova
