his wife Anna, the former
Anna Kennedy of the 4th
concession west in Huron
township farmed for 'a
number of years before
retiring to live in
Lucknow. Walter was a
member of the Olivet
Church and was well
known for his musical
talent both as a soloist
and a violin player and he
was always willing and
glad to help in com-
munity events. Surviving
besides his wife Anna,
are two sisters - Elsie,
Mrs. William J. Ensign of
Goderich and Emily,
Mrs. Howard Robinson of
Strathroy. Sympathy is
again extended to all
family relatives.

Known to several
people in this area Vera
McNichol. the famous
clairvoyant who lives at
Millbank was shown on
the late Wingham
television news last
Sunday evening. The
occasion was, her 69th
birthday.
Ten years. 'ago this
Friday Neil Armstrong
was the first man to step
onto the moon. That
would be July 20, 1969 and
last September he was at
Wingham officially
opening the International
Plowing Match. •
Starting Monday
morning of this week the
northbound cars and
trucks were sent around,
Route 403, that is
Malcolm Street while
adjustments were made
in the road bed north of
the Ripley chopping mill.
Rob and Rick Rock
were home for the
weekend in Ripley with
their parents Mr. and
Mrs. Owen Rock and
Ronnie. Rick is working
for Kermit Goodhue, on
the farm of the late John
MacDonald, concession 2 —
west in Huron Township
while Robbie is a full time
employee with the John.
