A children's activity hour
will be held each Wednesday
between 10 and 11 o'clock
beginning July 4th at the
Agriculture Hall. There will
be.stories, crafts and games
sponsored by the library,
'presented by 3 students
working under an "Experi-
ence 79" grant from the
Ministry of Culture and
Recreation. All children be-
tween 4 and 11 years of age
are welcome.
A very successful dance
was held on Saturday night
at the Agriculture Hall spon-
sored by the Dungannon
"Beez" ladies' softball.
We welcome to the com-
munity Mr. and Mrs. Don
Shetler who" reside in the
trailer across from the United
Church and to Claude and
Sandy D'aoust who live in
the new home on the 4th
concession.
John and Maylin Bere and
David of London and May-
lin's brother, Knollyi Chung

Mary Bere and Jamie on
Sunday.
Edna and Dynes Campbell
motored to London airport on
Sunday, when their son
Harold returned to Kam-
loops, B.C. after spending
two weeks here and attend-
ing the 50th anniversary
open house for his parents.

Tuesday evening for a baby
shower for little Amanda

SPORTS
In the soccer game played
at Kingsbridge between
Kingshridge and Dungan-
non, the score was a 1 - 1 tie.
Paul Jerome scored for the
Dungannon squad and Linda
Sinnett scored for Kings-
bridge. Future games will be
played Tuesday night. In the
game on Wednesday night,
Kintail defeated Dungannon
"Beez" 25 - 17 and Dun-
gannon "A"s defeated
Kingsbridge.
In the slo pitch tournament
held in, Goderich on the
weekend Dungannon men
proved victorious by winning
the "8" championship.
There were 22 teams playing
in this tournament held at
Agriculture Park.

streamers for the shower for
bride elect, Betty Culbert, on
Tuesday evening.

was read by Debbie Maize.
Jackie Culbert and Melissa

in. Betty was assisted in
opening her gifts by Cathy
Fisher and her sisters, Jo-
anne Culbert, Barb Snowden
and Dorothy Bere.
Betty gave a gracious
thank you and lunch was
served.

UNITED CHURCH
The Sacrament of Holy
Communion was observed at•
Dungannon United Church
on Sunday morning, Rev. C.
subject to the approval of the
church courts, to the Marin -
ora charge in the Belleville
Presbytery, effective Sept-
ember 1st. He will according-
ly expect to terminate his
ministry in Dungannon and
Nile oil the last Sunday of
August.
In consultation with the
Huron -Perth Presbytery the
date of Tuesday, June 26 has
been set for`a meeting of the
Official Board at Dungannon
at 8.30 p.m. at which time a
Pastoral Relations Commit-
tee will be appointed.

Oakville, formerly of Dun-

at the anniversary services at
Whitechurch United Church
on Sunday. Special music

and Maribelle singers from
Belmont.

elopment Day is being held

On Fridiy, June 8 students
from Room 10 went to Goder-
ich and enjoyedbowling. The
winning team was Wendy
Leish ran , Sherry Nixon,
Michael Barger, Jeff Burgs -
ma and Donald Martyn. The
highest count for boys went
to Donald Martyn and high-
est count for girls to Christ-
ina Farrish.
On Tuesday, June 19,
Huron County Playhouse will
be performing at Brookside,
putting on the play Sleeping
Beauty at 9.15 a.m.
The baseball at Brookside
has been going quite well. At
the present time the top two
teams out of each category
are playing the finals. They
are - senior girls, W.B.S.P.s,
captain, Judy Carmichael;
and the Superbs, captain,
Ruth Martin. Senior boys,
Slamrners, captain, Duane
Rivett; and the Pioneers,
captain, David Sproul. Junior
girls, the Basehoppers, cap-
tain,. Janice Cook; and the
Home Runners, captain, Wil-
ma Vandervelde. Junior
boys, the Sluggers with cap-
tain David Hamilton; and the
Blue Jays with captain Paul
Hackett.

Rev. C. A. Hauser C.R.,
pastor of St. Louis Parish,
Waterloo, was the celebrant
of the Sunday Mass June
17th at Kingsbridge. The
guest choir of approximately
40 members, also of St.
Louis', added greatly to the
service, under the direction
of Mr. Kenneth Benninger.
They spent the remainder of
the day picnicing at Camp
Huronia.
The Spring Birthday Party
for the Seniors was held
Wednesday afternoon in the
Parish Hall by the C.W.L.
Honoured were Father Den-
tinger on his 36th anniver-
sary of his Ordination and for
birthdays, Mr. and Mrs. Leo
Rosinke, Brother Carl, and
Mrs. 'Bernardine Kinney.
Five tables of euchre were
enjoyed with Tom Hackett
having the high score for
men and Betty Murray for
the ladies. The ladies served
a delicious lunch.
A bridal shower will be,
held for Miss Elaine Stewart
on Thursday, evening, June
21st, at eight p.m. in St.
Joseph's School Auditorium.
Her marriage to Paul O'Don-
'nell will take place on
Saturday, July 7th at Kings-
bridge. Everyone is wel-
come.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mur-
ray of Detroit are spending a
month with her brother, John
O'Connor at Kingsbridge,
also with sisters in Goderich,
Lucknow and St. Augustine.
