Mary Joanne Hackett, Lucknow was not seriously injured when the carshe was driving left
Stauffer Streetand hit a hydro pole. The accident occurred around 3.20 p.m. Monday about
- two blocks north of Campbell Street. Hydro was off in the village for about three hourswhile
hydro crews and the 'village public works department worked, torepair the snapped pole.

Swimming classes at the Lucknow
Disrict Swimming.. Pool are almost filled
for July and August, with about' 2$0
children registered in the program. Two..
sessions will be held. The first begins July
'/ and the second on August 6. Each session
is. three weeks.
Thereare some spaces left but.most.are
available in August. Anyone who still
wants .to register can do.. so at the pool.
Those interested in adult lessons, bronze,
and bronze cross lessons, mothers' and tots
classes and swim team may also 'inquire at

'!t�' The pool staff presented. a Show encour-
aging water safety awareness at Lucknow,
Brookside, Kinloss arid Kingsbridge
Schools on June 12 and 13. Slides on
survival swimming were shown; skits and
songs were performed. The winners of .a
water safety poster contest were announc-
ed.
At Kinloss Central the winners were
kindergarten and grade one., Brad:Murray,'
Debbie Morti'spn and-eWen 'Shaw, grades
two and three, ,,ANr"ian 'Miller, Clifford
Fielder, Heather Howald; grades four and
five; Danny Gilchrist and Tony:Gingrich,
Susan 'Meyer' and Heather. MacDougall,
Jeff Ackert.
AZ Kingsbride winners included, kinder-
garten and grade one, Rhonda Hogan, and
Sarah' Brophy, Connie O'Connor, Patricia
Stapleton; gradestwo and three, Colleen
• Van Osch, ' Angela, O'Neill, Maui\ice
Delbergue; grades four and five, Arnold
Knoop,, Mary Katherine Stapleton, Angela
Foran; grades six; seven and eight, Vicki
