burning. Meanwhile
former chief Doug Liddle.
along with Ray Fuller,
Joe Hodgins, Rod
MacDonald, Bernie
Twalen, George .McLean
and Harvey took the old
1947. fire engine and tank
truck down to Gore Park.
This fire engine not used i
in, about four year's, was
soon operating with .Doug
showing the new mem-
bers how to work its
controls. It pumped
water from the un-
derground cement
reservoir in Gore Park
and with Rod MacDonald
and others on the hose the
grass in the Park was
watered. The firemen
feel fortunate in now
having two engines;a tank
truck, and: auxiliary.
pumper to use. So it was
an evening of real out-
door activity -a welcome.I
change from the indoor
sessions. Another
evening of activity will be -
the annual .summer
dance held in the . Ripley
Huron Community
Centre Complex on
Saturday evening, June
