Two Ripley couples• are
celebrating their Golden
Wedding A,.nniversaries
this coming weekend, On
Saturday evening the
family of Mr. and Mrs.
Redvers Johngori will
held Open House in the•
Huron Township Hall
from eight to eleven. And
on Sunday afternoon and
evening, two to four, and
seven to nine it will be
Open House at the home
of Mr, and Mrs.- Bert
Irwin at their honie on
Huron Street(Main Street
south).
Well , May 22 last
Tuesday and the Federal
election are now history.
The two polling booths.fOr
the village of Ripley were
in -the Ripley Legion Hall.
In charge of the voting for •
the residents of the east
side were • Mabel. Bar-
nard, Donalda McLean,
Janet Nixon,. and Adeline
Hackett and for the west
side were 'Marion
west going to the Com-
• plex as a checkpOint. In
the aftgrnoon there" was a
wedding parade and tn
the evening there was the
Ripley Agricultural
Society's special dance in
the Ripley. Huron, Com-
munity Complex. '
On Saturday afternoon
Mr. Harold Harris of
Kincardine visited with
Jack and Evelyn Johnson
in Ripley.
Mrs. Walter Black
visited with her former
neighbour M r s .
Katherine Coiling on
Sunday and our
f congratulations are
extended to Miss Joyce
Black on her recent
graduation from Sir
Wilfrid Laurier
University Kitchener.
She plans on attending
Teachers' College in
Kingston in September.
