Mrs. Bill Ross opened the meeting by read- ing the inscription on the church cathedral at Chester, England. Devotions were given by Mrs. Russell Swan. A read- ing on families followed by a poem, "A Mother's Prayer", was given by Mrs. Swan, followed by prayer. Mrs. Bill Ross had a poem, "A Mother's Love". Mrs. Henry MacKenzie prepared material on chaptep 3 of our study book on China, This chapter was "Commun- ity and Individual Needs". Mrs. Russell Swangave the offertory, prayer, followed by a quiz oti Mothers of the Bible, by Mrs. Bill Ross. Mrs. Dorothy Finlayson conducted the business part of the meeting and the Lucknow Kinette elected W.M.S. purpose was .repeat- ed. Thirteen members an- swered the roll call, a verse on hope. A poem, "Shar- ing", was given by Mrs. Bill Ross. Benediction and the sing- ing of grace brought the meeting to a close. Lunch was served by the committee and fellowship followed. Mrs. Donald McEwan and Mrs. William MacPherson took charge of the program. Mrs. McEwan led in prayer. The scripture o was read by Mrs. MacPherson. Convener Elect is Shar- on Wilson, Mount Forest Kinette. Her executive is Ruth Penwarden, Mount Forest, secretary; Marion" Agla, Harriston, treasurer and Cheryl Cote, Lucknow, bulletin editor. Cheryl has been a Kinette since March, 1977 when she joined the Lucknow and District Kinette Club.. She. was last year's District 1 Rookie of the Year. This year. S sh�-is- -secretary—of—the Lucknow `club. District 1. covers an area . from Meaford south to Lake Erie,,west to Lake Huron and east to Oakville. The District Executive will drive approx imately 9000 miles in the next year. .04 AO • Cheryl's duties as Bulletin Editor include producing a District Kinette Bulletin, submitting articles to Kin- ship 1, the District Kinsmen Magazine and marking 'Kin- ette Club Bulletins for Bullet- in Competition.
