Teeswater hosts meeting of Agricultural Societies
Teeswater Agricultural So-
ciety was host to the'. District
Assoc-
`• 10 meeting of Ontario-iatipn, of Agricultural Societ-
ies on Saturday, May 26th.
Registration was at 9.30 a.m.
with 131. registering.
Mr. Clarence Lange, dist-
riet director, .convened the.
meeting. Delegates attend-
ing from Litcknow were
Norman and Eva Bolt, and
Ross and Elaine Errington.
Mrs. Pat MacLean, Thorn-
bury, •lady representative,
spoke briefly ;and,gave some
suggestions on how to im-
prove local fairs. Mr. Lange
spoke briefly on. the Conven-
tion in Toronto and also gave
a few _comments en fairs.
Mr. Art Peppin from Ont-
ario Association of Agricel-
tural Societies, Toronto,
brought greetings. He re-
ported that three commun-
ities were starting. Fall Fairs
•in Ontario, one -in district 10..
He spoke briefly on grants.
He announced Mr, Bob
McMann will take over dut-
ies June 1st as •associate
director of Ontario AssOcCa;
tion of Agricultural Societies.

and Doug Blackwell, Tees-
• water, and the Bregman
sisters. 4 •
The guest speaker for the
Morning sesiien was Mr.
Bruce McColl, Brussels,
manager of the Brussels
Stockyards. .
Grace wasgiven, followed
by a smorgasbord dinner by •
Teeswater: Agricultural Soci-
ety.
Ripley Agricultural Society
were in charge of "In Mem-
oriam'''. and a Minutes -silence
was observed in memory
members who had passed
on.
"A panel" was chaired by
Leonard Patterson; Mount
Forest, "How toitnprove our
fair" with a question and
•answer period to follow.
Mrs, Allan Wedow, Han-
over, accepted a plaque on
behalf of herself and her
' husband from district 10 for
12 years as secretary treas-
urer of the district. ,
Mr. Lange showed slides
taken at various • fairs he
attended in the district which
were interesting. The Don
Lemom attendance • • trophy
was won by Chesley Agri-
cultural Society with Mount
• forest second.

sheets were picked up for
secretaries of the various
fairs., ,
An invitation was, accepted
• from Ripley Agricultural Soc-
iety to host the Pall meeting.
• The Fair Queens that•were
in attendance were called to
