The Kinloss Kairshea
Women's Institute held their
Consumer meeting on May
17th at the home of Mrs. Ted
Collyer. The .new president,
Mrs. Allan MacDougall, read
a poem, "The Old Country
Store", and welcomed all to
the meeting, Mrs. Evan
Keith read the scripture.
The secretary -treasurer
read the minutes andi cor-
respondence. Mrs. Evan
Keith reported on the bus
trip, to be held on July 19 to
the Elmira area. Mrs. Harry
Lavis reported that 5248.50
was . turned in from the
Institute canvassers to the
Cancer Fund.
The June meeting will be a
Sunshine Sisters' meeting, ,
when Sunshine Sisters gifts
will ,be exchanged..
Mrs. Hank Hartemink took
the chair for the program.
The 4-H girls put on their
Citizenship,
theme of
UCW meeting
The general meeting of the
Lucknow United. Church
• Women with the theme
citizenship' was held Tues-
day, May 15 in the fellowship
room. Mrs. Eldon Ritchie,
chairman. of the Citizenship
Committee opened the .meet-
ing with a poem entitled
''LittleThings". The scrip-
ture was read by Mrs% Chas.
McDonald. Mrs. Eldon Hen-
derson led in prayer.,
A skit entitled Reflections
was acted by Mrs. Jack
Treleaven, Mrs. Cliff Craw-
ford, Mrs. Ken Cameron and
Mrs. Vernon " Hunter. ` A
reading was given •. by Mrs.
Gordon Kirkland `What is
Spring".
The president Mrs. Len
Ritchie conducted the busi
ness. The minutes and the
correspondence were read by
Mrs.. Ken. Cameron. The roll
call by units were taken and
Mrs. Alex . ,Andrew gave a
detailed treasurers report.
Mrs. Gordon Cayley re-
ported on the C.G.I.T. ban-
quet when Mary Anne Rit-
chie and Kristy Davies grad-
uated and were presented
with gifts.
It was voted not to hold a
fall Thankoffering. The fowl
supper was . discussed. The
offering was taken up by
Mrs. Graydon Ritchie and
Mrs. Al Irwin and dedicated
by Mrs. Eldon Ritchie. The
meeting closed with a hymn
and prayer.

Achievement night for "Ac-
cessories, The Final Touch"
held April 26. The roll call,
"Something bought in the
store that Grandma made at
home", was answered.
Mrs. Harvey Houston gave
a splendid report on her trip
to the 31st Officers' Con-
ference held in Waterloo.
Mrs. Hank Hartemink con-

the body". Mrs. Evan Keith,
