Noble on the death of the
ladies' grandmother, Mrs.
Freenie Dilworth on Mon-
day. May 7 in her 89th year.
Burial was in Dungannon
Cemetery.
Sympathy is also extended
to the families of the late
Mrs. Amber Popp of Clinton
who passed away on Tues-
day, May 8 at Stratford
General Hospital in her 77th
year. Mrs. Popp had been a
resident of Dungannon •.for
many years prior to moving
to Clinton.

Henry Culbert who died in
Mission, British Columbia on
Monday, May 7th in his 93rd
year. Burial was in Maitland
Cemetery, Goderich.

The Sacrament of Baptism
was held on the Christian
Family Sunday with *six in-
fants being presented for
baptism; Michael Bruce Sil-
lib, son of Bruce and Marsha
Sillib; William Alexander
Draper, son of Brian and
Judy Draper; Karen .Joy
Hodges, -daughter of Clare.
and Bonnie. Hodges, of Strat-
ford; Kelly Lynn McNee,
daughter of Kenneth and
Lynda McNee; Julie Dawn
Blake, daughter of Bill and
Pat Blake of Cambridge; and
Diana Lynn Anderson,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Barry Anderson.
Rev. C. G, Westhaver
spoke on the topic, "Mother-
hood - its crosses and
crown". The choir sang the
anthems, "The Church of
Long ago," and "Lily of the
Valley", led by organist Mrs,
Jean Elliott. Helen Elliott
sang a solo, "May the Good
Lord Bless and Keep You".
Flowers were placed in the
church in memory of Mrs. A.
Popp, a former active mem-
ber and Sunday School teach-
er of Dungannon United
Churchwho passed away
during the past week. Flow-
ers were also placed in
memory of Mr. and Mrs.

April was a busy month
and we welcomed the enter-
tainment andvisits of many ,
orgabizations. u
The Lucknow C,W.L. of St.
Mary's church held their
'Monthly ,meeting at the nurs-
ing honie,in the activity room
on April., 2:
On April 3, the . White-
church Bible Clubunder the
leadership, of Mrs. Fay Os-
borne came and held their
meeting, There were about
16. boys and girls and we
really enjoyed their : singing
-and' "Taking - their
program.
On Palm Sunday, the
Lucknow and South Kinloss
Presbyterian Young People.
came and gave their Good
Friday service.
The Lucknow Christian
Reformed Ladies came for a
bingo on April 9 and the
Lucknow Kinettes came for a
bingo ori April 10th:
On April '18th, Caravan
Clothing of Toronto came for
their spring display of cloth-
es.. They had a very good
selection, and some of •us
bought some new spring
clothes.
On April 19 the Kinlough
Pentecostal Church made
their monthly visit to sing
hymns to us. .
Kingsbridge School, grad-
es kindergarten, to grade 4
came to present a wonderful
program on April 23. Father
Dentinger was the master of
ceremonies and Brother Karl
told us an amusing story.
The choir under the 'direction
of Mrs. Park provided some
beautiful Easter music and
several children said recita-
tions.
Our monthly birthday par-
ty was,held on April 24, with
Whitechurch Womon's Insti-
tute entertaining • us with
music and .poetry..
The residents celebrating.
birthdays in April were Dr.
Anna Wright, April 6; Ellen
Gardner, April .19 and Eliza-
beth Scott, April 28.
On April 29, the Christian
Reformed Church of Luck -
now made theiranonthly visit
for a worship service.

The children of the Sunday
School put on a brief pro-
gram during. the church
service on Sunday morning
in honour of their mothers.
The Beginners gave 'ques-
tions and answers in a
selection called "A Mother's
Day Quiz". The Primary
class presented an acrostic
named "Letters of Love",
while the Juniors asked the
question "What Can 1 Do?"
The Junior High class led
the congregation ih singing
"Faith of our Mothers" with
Sharon Frey at the piano.'
A Primary pupil, Walter
Martin, played the offertory
number on the piano, and
Puppets entertain
at Brookside

On May 9 the Peppi
Puppet People, a group of
four professional puppeteers
from -Toronto, performed the
play, "Aladdin and the Mag-
ic Lamp" at Brookside for all
classes. After the perform-
ance the students had a
closer look at the puppets
used: and . a chance to ask
questions.
Mr. Liddle's Grade 7 class
was fortunate .to have good
weather for their overnight
camping field trip at Menes-
etung Camp Wednesday and
Thursday.
All classes are preparing
for the . different events on
Field Day which is to be later
in May..
This week the school will
be getting aclass set of daily
newspapers each day. The
teachers and students will be
looking at different articles
and discussing them. This
exercise should be especially
interesting in these pre-elec-
tion days.

Following the program each
mother was called upon to
receive a carnation corsage
presented by her youngest
child in Sunday School.
Pastor Lawrence chose
various passages of scripture
relating to Christian Family
Day, and the mothers' im-
portant role in the raising of
children in a Christiari home.
