Lad celebrates birthday with friends

day with a party for six of his

meeting in .the Sunday
School room during church
on Sunday. Mrs. Hugh
Simpson leader took the
chair and gave the call to
worship. Joann de Boer
read the scripture. Karen
Pickard led in prayer.
The election of officers
were president, Joann • de
Boer; 1st vice, Karen Pick-
ard; secretary, Karen Elliott;
treasurer, Brian Ross; pian-
ists, Lianne Young, Joann de
Boer.
Roll call was answered by
8 with a word from Psalm 23.
The Birthday Calendar was
marked.
Business considered was
plans for a picnic. The
Junior story was, God gave
us .the world. The senior
story was Cheer up and be
happy.
The closing prayer was
given by Mrs. Simpson.
This year Whitechurch
Women's Institute collected
a total of $424 for the Cancer
Society, an inc\,ease of 575
from last year.
The village extends a

and interesting showing the

places visited and the people

celebtate 75 yrs. of
Women's Institute in

a,yn. at Mrs, Nick Peet's
home. The Ripley Branch

the Lucknow 'nursing
home on J.une 26th. Mrs.

in the meeting, especially
the lunch corn mittee.
