Congratulate Kingsbridge newlyweds

Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Mole (Mary
VanDiepen) who were mar-
ried at St. Joseph's Church
on Saturday. Their dinner
and reception was held at
Saltford Valley Hall, Goder-
ich.
Bill Van Osch held a very
successful auction sale of
groceries, hardware and
many other store articles on
Wednesday evening of last
week. Rathvvell Ind Associat-
es of Seaforth were the auc-
tioneers.
Congratulations to Larry
and Melba Park on the birth
of their second son last week.
Melba taught at Kingsbridge
a few years back and recently
has supplied.
Some little friends of Jen-
ney Martin attended a birth-
day party held in her honour
on Sunday afternoon for her
seventh birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Frayne
of Brantford visited recently
with Mr. and Mrs. Gene
Frayne and Mr. and Mrs.
Don Frayne and families.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Van
Osch received word this
week of the sudden passing
of Mr. Van Osch's brother-
in-law, Jack Rambags of Hol-
land last week. Mr. and Mrs.
Rambags had attended Mr,
and Mrs. Van Osch's fiftieth
wedding anniversary a year
ago.
Eddie Sinnett is visiting
his parents and family for
about six weeks on leave
Education week active at St. Joseph's

On Saturday, April 21st,
Grades 4, 5 and 6, went to
Stratford for a Floor Hockey
Tournament. St.-- Joseph's
Junior Girls won the champ-.
onship. They played against
sacred Heart, Wingham, St.
vlary's, Goderich, Ecole Ste.
vlarie, and St. Columban.
On Monday, April 23rd,
dr. John McCauley, super-
ntendent from the Huron- ,
'erth Board came to Kings -
)ridge and took part in the
!.00 a.m. Mass for the start
'f Education Week. At 10
..m. the same day Mr. Bob

ervative candidate for the

He gave out pamphlets with
his personal background and
pictures of himself and his
family to all present.
On Tuesday, April 24th the
parents, teachers and stud-
ents had a volleyball tourna-
ment at 12.30 p.m. The par-
ents and teachers won with a
score of 15 to 8.

and Thursday, April 26th
Grades .5 to 8 had Public
Speaking.. In Grade , 5 the
winners in . the poems were:
1st, Lonfiy Doherty; 2nd,
Linda Van Osch; 3rd, Jackie
Delbergue. In Grade 5 the
winners in the, readings
were, 1st, Cathy O'Connor;
2nd, Junior Pelletier; 3rd,
Danny Wilson.
In Grade 6 the winners in
the poems were, 1st, Tommy
Gilmore; . 2nd, Gerda Hend-
riks; 3rd, F1reddy Durnin. In
Grade'6 the winners in the
readings were, . lst, Mary
Aynn Doherty; 2nd, Billy
Card; 3rd, Shawn Durnin.
In Grade 7 the winners in
the poems were, lst, Vicki
Delbergue; 2nd, Rosemary
Gilmore; 3rd, Perry Van
Osch. In Grade 7 winners in
the Introductions were, 1st,
Steven Hickey; 2nd, Linda'
Sinnett; 3rd, Mike Austin. In
Grade 7 winners in the
Impromptu Speeches were,
1st,: John Lalone; 2nd, Betty.
Jane Foran; 3rd, Shawn
Doherty.
For Grade 8 Poems the
winners were, 1st, Diane: Van
Osch; 2nd, Teresa Van Rooy;
3rd, Denise Connelly. For
Grade 8 Introductions the
winners were, ,1st, Liz Vogt;
2nd Cathy Chisholm; 3rd,
Kevin. Smth.
Grade 8 Impromptu'
Speeches the winners were,

Carol Foran; 3rd, Lisa
Frayne.
On •Thursday-, April 26th
Grades 6, 7, and 8 competed
in French Speaking.

The Garvey . Public Speak-
ing was held at St. Joseph's
School for grades five to
eight on Wednesday of last
week. Grades five and six
had a choice of a poem which
they chose themselves or a
reading. Grades seven and
eight had a choice of Intro-
ductions or a poem. The ones
who did speeches were heard
in February.
The Sacrament of Baptism
was received by Vannessa
Yolanda Hogan, baby daugh-
ter of Raymond and Mildred
Hogan on Sunday morning at
St. Joseph's Church. God-
parents were Tom and Karla
Hogan. Following the Bap-
ttisim, a dinner was held for
tamily and guests at Ray-
mond Hogan's. Attending
were Tom and Karla Hogan
and family, Father Ed Den -
Unger, Brother Carl Voll,
Mr. and Mrs, John Howard,
Anita, Leona, Francis, . Steve
and Lawrence; Marianne
Frayne, Jackie Van Osch and
Wilma Janvier.
Baptism service also took
place in Kincardine on Sun-
day afternoon at St. An-
thony's Church .when. Eliza-
beth Ann Zyluk, daughter of
Dave and Vickie Zyluk ` was
baptized. Dave Zyluk is
principal of the school in
Kingsbridge.
The Mass was celebrlated
by Fr: 'Ed Dentinger of
Kingsbridge and at the end
of the- Mass Elizabeth Ann
was baptized by Father Gro-
gan of St. Anthony's. The
godparents were Ray and Pat
Brooks of . Mount Forest.
Grandparents attending
were John and Catherine
Bahro of London, and great
grandparents Matt and Caro-
line Majurac of Bothwell.
A reception followed in the
Parish Hall after which sev-
eral of the guests returned to
the Zyluk home for supper:
Highlights of the day was
Mr. Zyluk's former grade
seven class from . Precious
Blood, Exeter, attending and
some participated in the
Mass and even helped baby-
sit.
Kindergarten registration
was held recently at . St.
Joseph's School. Those reg-
istering for the fall are Tom-
my Hogan, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Hogan; Jennifer
Redmond, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ambrose . Red-
mond; Raymond Dalton, son
of. Mr. and Mrs. Cletus. Dal-
ton;Rachel Brophy, daughter
of Mr. and ' Mrs. George

daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
