Hydro off
in Langside

The hydro was off in this
community for 45 minutes
early Thursday morning due
to a car which left the road
and broke a hydro pole with
high tension wires near
Hanover.
Congratulations to Mr.'
and Mrs. Raymond Wright
on the birth of a son, Kevin
Donald, in Wingham Hospit-
al, Aptil 19. Mrs. Wright is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Don Stewart of Teeswater
and a niece of Mr. and Mrs.
Dave Moffat.
Mrs. Robert Wynne re-
turned to her, home in
Kitchener after spending
three weeks at, her farm
home and at the home of her
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Rick
Jones. Mrs. Jones and ,her
new baby daughter returned
home from Wingharn-Hospit-
al on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Young visited Thursday ev-
ening with Mr. and Mri.
Wesley Young of Lucknow.

Graham Moffat •of Tees -
water who had been a patient
in London Hospital is now a
patient in Wingham Hospit-
al. His wife is also a patient
in Wingham Hospital. Gra-
ham's sister, Margaret of
Toronto, is spending a few
-days in Teeswater.
Mary Bongertman who is
stationed with the air force in
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
spent two .weeks with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Bongertman of Lucknow. She
left to return to Moose Jaw
last Wednesday.
Mt. and Mrs. Lloyd Keller
of Exeter: visited with her
brother, Mr. and Mrs, Bob
Bregman Sunday evening.
Mrs. John de Boer aii
, Mrs. Jim de Boer held a
bridal shower at the home of
Mrs. John de Boer on Satur-
day evening for Elaine Ray-
ment who is to be the bride of
John de Boer, son of Mrs.
Roelie de Boer. A good
crowd attended and the bride
to be received many lovely
gifts.

A Handful of Trouble.
The Whitechurch Water
System held their April
meeting on April 2.3 in
Whitechurch Community
Memorial Hall with an at-
tendance of 14.
It was decided when water
users are in arrears in pay-
ment after two notices, 10
days later the " maintenance
men will shut the water'off.
The wages for maintenance
men was set at 83.50 per
hour.
Owing to receiving money
twice a year making much
work it was decided to try
collecting water fee once a,
year in October.
A letter from the Ministry
of Environment was read by
the secretary. The Environ-
ment were satisfied with the
system on their , inspection.
