Bowkrs end season
inloss Mixed Bowling\ pleasant
League held their annual bowlers
meeting and banquet at. the
Anglican Parish Hall on April
27 at 7 p.m. After singing
Grace, with Donalda Moffat
at the organ, they enjoyed a
delicious turkey dinner with
all the trimmings. The meal
was prepared by the Angli-
can ladies and Jon Zdybel
thanked them for their work.
After a short sing,, song,
the league conducted busi-
ness. The president, Nancy
Swan welcomed all and ex-
pressed her thanks' that so
many had been able to come.
The secretary -treasurer
showed a balanc: of $12.88.
It vv -as decided to let the exe-
cutive stand for another year
with president, Nancy Swan;
vice, Donalda Moffat and
secretary -treasurer, Gerda
de Jong.
Trophies were then pres-
ented to the winners. Sea-
son's winning team was the
Pippins with Doris MacKin-
non as captain and other
members, Fraser MacKin-
non, Bill and Beryl Hunter,
Bert and Donalda Moffat,
Tom And Evelyn Phillips,
Oeds and Ruth Geertsma.
Russel Swan'presented them
with their trophies.
Season's high ladies were,

Dalton, presented by . Evan
Keith. High triple, Beryl.

Doris MacKinnon thanked
the secretary -treasurer for
her work and Gerda was
presented with a gift of

Betty- Lou Dalton had
filmed the league's bowling
struggles this winter. None
of the bowlers had second
thoughts of this until they
saw Betty put up her screen
and projector. The funniest
scenes came to light on that
screen. No names will be
mentioned but the bowlers
will keep an eye on Bett next
winter when she comes out
with her movie camera. -'It
was really funny and thanks -
a million Bett. This ended a
evening; and the
hope to see all
