Our oldest resident, Annie MacKenzie, celebrated her 103rd birthday on March 12th. Her family held a birthday party for her on March 10 in the Activity Room.' Her children, grand- children and great grand- children attended. Others celebrating birth- days in March were Abbie Clifford. March 5, Mary Woolnough March 9, Min- eria MacEwan March 15. Jean Scott March 17. Aubrey Higgins March 17. Annie Orvis March 18, Elizabeth Dalton March 21, Mary Higgins March 24 and Mary Cleland March 27. St. Helens Women's Insti- tute entertained us at the birthday party. • On Saturday, March 10, Allan Miller came with his band to entertain us. Ronnie Rock sang and played his guitar and Dawn Griffith, granddaughter of E. Griffith, tap danced for us. Mrs. George Harkness accompan- ied Allan on the piano. Rev. Munshaw held a wor- ship service on Sunday, On Sunday, April 8 a • family dinner was held at the home of Miss Winnie Stew - 'art in London. This was a yearly get together and 18 guests were present from Hamilton. Oakville, DUndas, Burlington and London. In the afternoon, a fainily show- er was held for Miss Kim Stewart, April bride to be. She received many lovely gifts. A delicious dinner was served at 6.30, Mrs, Phillip. Stewart spent the past twc weeks at Winnie's home in London. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Tun- ney and children of Erin, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Tunney of Georgetown, Helen Neabel, London, Mrs. Julus Fischer and Darlene of Listowel and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Neabel, Kenny, Robin and Lesia of Lucknow spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Neabel and Graham of R. 3 Lucknow. Celebrate Wililam Neabel's birthday The family of William Neabel. R. R. 3 Luckhow, gathered at the Whitechurch Community Hall on Satur- day, April 7 to celebrate his 80th birthday. About 50 people attended the dinner prepared by Mrs. Neabel, Guests attended from Cal- edon, Georgetown, Erin, London, Elmira, Kitchener, Listowel, Lucknow and the surrounding area. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr. Neabel's •grandson, Doug Fischer of. Kitchener', following the meal. Lunch was served at midnight. Friends Are • A Nice Thing To Have... Mrs. Les Wardell carne to entertain us on MOO 13 with her fiddle. She dressed up -in green and sang some Irish songs to us also. Mrs. Harkness accompanied her on the piano. The Kinettes came for their monthly bingo on March 13 and the Lucknow Ll.C.W. Unit # 3 came and entertained us on March 16 and then played cards with the residents. We were. all happy to have Former minister worships with Lucknow congregation Rev. Glenn Noble, Mrs. Noble and Lesley Anne from Swift current, Saskatchewan spent the past week with Mrs. Noble Johnston. Sun- day, the congregation of the Lucknow Presbyterian Church were pleased to have them • worship with • them. Rev.. Noble presented his pictureoto the church to be hung, in the gallery •with pictures of other- fortnpr • ministers. •• Clarke Johnston here to sing for us on St. Patrick's Day. I've never seen so many smiles as they listened to his Irish songs. Mrs. Jordan's daughter, Freda Johnston, accompan- ied him on the piano. The Roman Catholic resid- ents held their communion in ' the Activity LOOM on March 20 and on the first day of spring a van load of residents travelled out to Robinson's sugar shack at St. Augustine. Alice Ritchie came with us and we all enjoyed our first outing of the new year. The Pentecostal Church of Kinlough made their month- ly visit to sing for us. We all enjoyed their hymns and the pastor spoke to us. The Christian Reformed Church made their monthly visit on March 25.
