A euchre party was held at
the Parish Hall on Monday
evening with the proceeds
going, to the Goderich Pro-
life group. Winners were
high Haan, Antone Van Osch;
high lady, Bridget Dalton;
low man, Paul O'Donnell;
low lady was Betty Frayne.
Last Monday was a profes-
sional development day at St.
Joseph's School. A retreat
was held at St. Augustine for
the teachers, parents and
parishoners who wished to
attend. Guest speaker ' was
Father Sonderup of Wing -
ham who also' conducted the
retreat. The day began about
9.30 in the morning and
ended about 4 o'clock• that
afternoon.

On Monday, March 26th
Mr. Zyluk and the Social
Environmental Studies com-
mittee made a presentation
to the school board about the
new program for Kindergar-
ten to Grade 6. Mr. Zyluk
will also be presenting the
curriculum to the 'Huron -
Perth teachers on Monday,
April 2nd.
The Grade 3 class will be
making their sacrament of
reconciliation at St. August-
ine church on .,April 1st.
The primary and junior
floor hockey teams are prac-
ticing for their tournament
against S.acred.. Heart and
Goderich on April 11th. ‘,We
wish them luck.
Mr. Zyluk has been ap-
pointed to a committee to
review the system's special
education. handbook.
The school children had an
extended March break be-
cause on Mondays March
26th there was a P.A. day.
The P.A. Day, was held in St.
Augustine in the form of a
Retreat with Father Sonder-
up of Wingham as Retreat
master. Father Dentinger,
Father Coghlin, Brother
Carl, our teachers, and many
of our.parents took part in
this P. A. day. Everyone had
a safe March break. There
will be another P. A. day
next Monday and we hope
this day will be a beneficial
one for the teachers, parents
and all who attend.

honour at Benmiller Inn on

family of five girls, three

were all present for the

home on Monday after
visiting for two weeks in
Holland with her mother,
brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Fred Vassella return-
ed home on Friday from
University Hospital, London,
where she had been a patient
for .a week and a half.
Dan Wilson is spending six
weeks vacation at his home
here on leave from his boat.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Bowler
and family of Sebringville
visited on the weekend with
Linda's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Vassella and her
sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van
Osch attended the wedding
of Joe Schneider and Leanne
Dawson in Owen Sound on
Saturday. Joe worked for the.
Van Osch's a few summers
back.
Mr. and Mrs. John How-
ard and Mr. Mike O'Neil
visited recently with relatives
in Jackson, . Detroit, . and
Marysville, Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Batte of
Mildmay were Sunday visit-
ors with Mr. and Mrs. John
Howard and family.
Denise Dalton, community co-ordinator for St. Joseph's
Community School, Kingsbridge, talks over requirements for
the St. John's Ambulance course which is being offered at the
school this 'month, with John Cory, Goderich, who Is
instructing the course. As co-ordinator, Denise will be
planning various events and courses at the school to further
the use of the school as a centre for community activities. A
dancing class, possibly belly -dancing, general interest course
including:craftt and specialevents will be at the school in.

meeting for Dungannon and
Lucknow 4-H beef and dairy
calf clubstook place at
Brookside Public School at
8.00 p.m. March 22, 1979.
Len McGregor, local Agri-
culture ;Representative,
spoke on the coming year
etc. The group split into
clubs to discuss the coming
events and to nominate offic-
ers for, the upcoming year.
