J. J. Houston, Missis-
sauga, spent the weekend
with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Houston. Satur-
day.evening they entertained
other members of their fam-
ily, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Houston and Amy, Holyrood,
and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Houston,Ripley.
Donnie Mole of Court-
wright'visited with his grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harv-
ey Mole for the winter break.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tay-
lor, St. helens, have returned
from a 23 .day tour of Cali-
fornia visiting with relatives
in Seaside, California, and
touring points of interest in
the southern states.
Gibsons-leave to
teach in Japan
Max and Mildred Bushell
of Lucknow were to Toronto
Airport on Thursday .last to
see their daughter Brenda
and son-in-law Darryl Gibson
off to Hawaii and. then Japan.
Darryl and Brendawill be in
Honolulu for 4 days and then
fly on to Tokyo. They have
been hired as English teach-
ers in Japan and will be
teaching workers and their
families at a large electrical
plant. Brenda and Darryl will
live in Susono at the foot of
Mount•Fugi and teach there
and around Japan for at -least
one year.

has pot -luck dinner

held a potluck supper meet-
ing on. Friday, March 17.

On Wednesday evening
March 21st members of the
staff of Pinecrest Manor,
Lucknow gathered at the
Turnberry Tavern, Wing -
ham for a dinner honouring
Margaret Cameron - and to
say thanks to her for all the

kindness and thoughtfulness
shown towards the staff
during ' her many years at
Pinecrest.
Her devotion towards the
residents will always be
remembered. Their well be-
ing washer first concern and
she spent many extra hours
of her Qwn time, seeing that
their needs were met.
After the dinner, a social
time was held with singing
and playing cards. The large -
attendance was evidence of
the high esteem in which
Margaret was held. The staff
and residents will miss her
very much but wish her the
best of luck in the future.
Earlier, gifts were present-
ed to Margaret, Susan Mof-
fat, and Eldon. Miller at a
morning coffee party held at
Pinecrest Manor, Margaret
was given a_ kitchen clock and
diamond stick pin, Susan re-
ceived a gold locket, and
crystal dinner bell and Eldie
a lighter- and leather travel
case. Each in . turn gave
fitting replies.
